Appearance- Dark brown with a redish tint when swirled. Off white head with nice legs.
Smell- terrific coffee with hints of dark fruits and a touch of booze.
Taste- a lot of coffee stouts taste like stale coffee but this is the freshest tasting coffee I have experienced. The classic BCBS barrel comes through at the end. Again like the nose there is a touch of booze.
Mouthfeel- the highlight of this beer for me. Silky smooth with perfect carb.
Overall- this beer totally lived up to the billing. Great coffee on top of an almost perfect base. Delicious.
