Pours near black with a tight, slightly pocketed, velvety mocha colored head.

The roasted malt has a little sharp sourness on the smell. Smells like lightly sweetened coffee. Decent minty hop presence.

Taste is just as promised by the smell. Solidly roasted malts with a sweet touch. Modest bittering hops on the finish. And that's all. Pretty simple.

Mouthfeel is pretty thin, slightly watery. Soft carbonation is nice, possibly due to the oatmeal, but lacks body.

In terms of drinkability, it can go two ways. On the one hand, it's very simple and does down fast. Definitely sessionable. I would get a keg for a winter party. On the other hand, nothing compelling to make me want to explore it further, and it's not cheap.
