I wasn't too excited to try this beer after reading some of the reviews, but when I went to the liquor store there was a little star-rating tag in front of the beer and I couldn't resist. I was suprised at how similar it tasted to Dogfish 60 Minute! It poured ok.. a decent body with a small half-inch head. Was a lot more clear than I would expect for this style, and the taste reflected that. It was a little on the watery side. I'd have this beer again, but it wasn't my favorite for this style - not even close.

Poured from tap into imperial pint at chilis to go in the west palm beach airport. Nice golden color with 2 fingers of foam and lots of lacing. Nice piney hop aroma but mild like a noble type hop wih a good malty nose. Nice bitter hop flavor with bready malts. Its a bit over hopped and under malty for the style but a great brew overall. Nice find in an airport...

12oz : into SN IPA Glass
Clear, coppery, burnt orange. Foamy, white head, short retention.
Earthy, floral hops, with a hint of citrus blends into a malty caramel backing.
Medium body, foamy, prickly carbonation.
An enjoyable, well done English IPA, though nothing overall there was nothing particularly memorable about it.

Served at Citi Field at a Met's game
A- Copper with a slight ruby hue, nice, even half inch head
S- This is where the beer really shined. I was struck by how aromatic this beer was. Granted, I was outside in the heat drinking out of a cup that was made out of recycled corn byproducts. If I had proper glassware I'm sure it would have been slightly better. There was a wopping hoppy floral smell. It was very sweet and had a hint of citrus.
T- The taste was somewhat muted but very similar to the smell. That sweet floral hop presence came through, but there was more sweet citrus. Only a hint of pine and a dash of alcohol and malts. Pretty well balanced IPA on the sweeter side.
M- After drinking Coors at the game I decided to have one more beer and stumbled across a place that sold some imports and "crafts." So this beer definitely had a bit more mouthfeel than the Coors, but nothing more than you would expect from an IPA. It was crisp, refreshing and clean.
O- Overall, I'm not sure how this beer made it past me all these years without me trying it. It wasn't particularly outstanding by any means, but it was above average. It wasn't worth the $8.75 that I paid for it, as I could pick up a six-pack for that price, but it sure beat the rest of the selections available. This beer smelled really nice. If I'm ever in a similar scenario I wouldn't hesitate to purchase. However, at the bottle shop this will never be a purchase as there are many many better beers out there.

12oz bottle into a pint glass.
Pours a clear deep orange with a two finger fluffy white head. Amazing head retention and lacing. I am quite impressed.
Aroma of pine and dank with a touch of orange thrown in. There is definitely an "English" quality on the aroma as it leans more towards the earthier hops versus tropical fruit. A light touch of caramel and toffee sneaks in too.
Pine and orange on the taste with a little bit of toffee. Some floral notes and sweetness very reminiscent of the English style. Even some yeasty esters seem to make an appearance. A little biscuit in the background but the hops remain pretty far forward. Moderate bitterness and a moderately sticky finish.
Overall, a good interpretation of the style. Doesn't really stack up to the likes of Samuel Smith but for a widely available American beer, it's a nice job.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a 14 oz "pint" glass. Pours a translucent yellow orange with a one finger head. Smells of floral and earthy hops, very inviting aroma. Tastes of floral hops and earthy aftertaste. Beer is a tad over carbonated, but light body finishes nicely. Overall, a superb beer.

12 oz. bottle poured into a tumbler.
A- Dark copper orange, with a sticky laced half finger light tan head. Retains well.
S- Pale malt backbone carries a subtle floral/citrus hop nose.
T- Very well balanced sweet biscuity malt, with floral hop. Lots of each but nice and mellow.
M- Fairly full sticky body, with a semidry finish. Pretty easy to drink.
O- Delicious, and mild for an IPA, but still well within the range. A good IPA to break into the style. I'd recommend this to new IPA drinkers.

355ml bottle, poured into La Chouffe tulip.
A: Golden, clear, large head, very good retention and lacing.
S: Hoppy citrus points to Cascade or similar hop being used also had notes of cork and farmyard.
T: Husk, grapefruit, pine, grain, apple. Bitterness came in at the finish along with a slight hint of molasses.
M: Light texture, well carbonated, crisp. Very easy to drink.
O: Had depth, balance and was very well crafted, they nailed this one.
