The moment the cap was removed this gave off a pleasant dark bready aroma though this was predictably short lived. After that the nose mostly just said 'beer' though it poured an eye catching dark orangy colour and a kept thinnish yet just a so lightly yellowish head throughout. Nice multiple frothy rings lined the glass with every sip.

The beer's almost understated fizziness stays constant over the 20 minutes it took to drink it and there was a sort of pleasant enough light earthy dryness about the taste. This tends to be the palate's most obvious and perhaps only quality. There is not much development otherwise.

A good introduction for those new to the delights of great beer.

Appearance: Clear and clean copper. Nearly no carbonation. Spotty lacing. No head retention

Aroma: Citrusy hops with some fruity esters. Maybe apple. Slight caramel malt. Toasty

Taste: Tastes very clean. Some apples and pear in the foreground. Juicy citrus hops in the middle - very mellow, not even slightly assertive. Rounds out with some bready malts

Mouthfeel: Crisp and clean. Slight lingering stickiness. Refreshing

Overall: Pretty good overall. Not much complexity but enough going on. Very sessionable. Good for a change but not an all the time brew for me. Solid nonetheless

Aroma: Light malt; light caramel; light citrus

Taste: Juicy malt on start with a quick, light hit of hops; a little lemon citrus in the mid and a crisp finish that doesn't last long; a little thin overall; not overly complex, but not bad
