First appearance in NJ! Got myself 5 bottles! And I'm happy I did! This is one hell of a stout. Pitch black with a thin lace of brown head which recedes quickly. massive nose of bourbon, chocolate, vanilla, oak, leather, licorice, burnt sugar, anise asphalt and bourbon soaked raisins.

The same flavors that are on the nose bombard your tongue in a giant mess of flavor. Huge hue flavor! Like a hand grenade dishing out different offerings at every blast. This young beer needs a little time to settle, but even as a messy pile of flavor, it still holds together pretty damn well. I Plan on trying this one in a few months to see how it opens up. But I already love this beer, looking forward to more times with it.

As I keep opening bottles the beer gets even better and better. So rich and deep with wonderful flavors. Much like drinking a fine port wine or scotch paired with cigar but transformed into pure liquid gold.

Served from bottle into Teku glass.

A - very dark, with a small amount of tan head that lingers arouns the glass

S - Mostly bourbon in the nose with a little bit of dark roasted malts and a little sweetness as well.

T - Lots of bourbon up front backed by good roasty flavors, coffee, chocolatte etc. Decent amount of alcohol burn, but with all the bourbon flavor this doesn't really seem like a bad thing.

M - thick and smooth mouthfeel, with a good amount of carbonation

O - Fantastic beer, really enjoyed this one, and at 15% enjoyed it slowly.
