It pours out deep black with a small light brown head.

The aroma is huge. It is of big vanilla, mostly of it. Then there is some chocolate, wood, malt, and bourbon. The sweet creamy aroma it has is one of the best aromas I have had.

The taste is just of huge vanilla and then with a big bite of the bitterest of chocolate. The booziness is extremely prominent.

In the end, I would love to like this beer, but it is a bit too unbalanced for me. Then again, this needs to simply exist for relativity. I would just say that this is not a stout anymore. It’s like drinking a glass of port or bourbon on the rocks. It’s just so big and powerful. I would prefer more balance with less booze and the Coffee version is where to go.

Served from bottle into Teku glass.

A - very dark, with a small amount of tan head that lingers arouns the glass

S - Mostly bourbon in the nose with a little bit of dark roasted malts and a little sweetness as well.

T - Lots of bourbon up front backed by good roasty flavors, coffee, chocolatte etc. Decent amount of alcohol burn, but with all the bourbon flavor this doesn't really seem like a bad thing.

M - thick and smooth mouthfeel, with a good amount of carbonation

O - Fantastic beer, really enjoyed this one, and at 15% enjoyed it slowly.
