Available at the Manchester, CT location.
Made with Pale, Munich, Vienna, and Cara-Vienna malts, and Hallertau and Spalt hops.
This beer was listed as filtered, but when it arrived it was a hazy deep yellow. As it was in a sampler glass, there wasn't any real head. However, there was a thin layer of foam that persisted until I was done with the glass, unlike the other small samples that merely had a thin ring.
Aroma was mainly fruity, apples and grapes. I thought it an unusual combination, and had my 11½ year old son give me his opinion. That's what he picked out. There was also a light hoppy scent, but not pronounced enough to be able to determine which way they were leaning.
Taste was quite fruity, followed by a quick bitterness on the swallow and a hop resin aftertaste.
Mouthfeel was pretty good, as expected from John Harvard's. Well rounded and full but not too thick.
Drinkability was OK. I could see going after another pint of this, if I were sessioning rather than driving.
Serving type: on-tap
