Pours a very cloudy yellow in color with a small 1/4 inch white head that faded pretty quickly; decent lacing.
Smells of yeast, wheat, lemon, clove and funky sour apple; a very funky nose to the point of smelling bad. Couldn't pin down the bad part of the aroma, but I did not like the way it tailed off.
Tastes of yeast, wheat, grains, lemon, clove, grass, faint citrus hops, light sweet malt, light spices and a funky yeast like finish, which tastes like a penny. It was decent tasting until the funky part kicked in, which was worse than the normal metallic taste as it bordered on bad in a way of something stale in the fridge.
Mouthfeel was creamy and light, with very high carbonation and very light feel.
Could have been a highly drinkable beer if it didn't taste so bad. For me, this was not an enjoyable hefeweizen.

Reviewed on 7/17/08. On tap. The cloudiest beer I've ever seen. Looked like fresh-squeezed grapefruit juice, no head. Aroma of yeast, bread, spices, and rotten eggs. Flavor of the usual clove and other spices, orange peel. Very thick. Decent hefe.

Poured a cloudy light copper hue with a half finger foamy white head. There was poor retention and lacing.
The smell featured an estery yeast and spicy wheat malt. Spicy clove present.
The taste was upfront sweet malts with some developing wheat spice. A bit too sweet for the style.
The mouthfeel was of medium fullness.
Overall a nice hefe. The set up and sweetness were a bit off however.
