Good little spot for a pint and better than average pub fare on College Ave in Decatur.
The original Corner Pub burnt to the ground 5 years ago, further west on College Ave near Kirkwood neighborhood. Very cool inside...historic, European pub feel. The "new" Corner Pub lies in East Decatur Station, next to Figo and a slew of small businesses. But not obviously "new" feeling. The outdoor seating is really nice, especially near sunset and when trains cruise by. Inside there is a mix of low-top and high-top tables with a nice wood, L-shaped bar. Jukebox, big screen and 2 pool tables nicely spread out. The atmosphere was the feel of a "regulars hangout", which was obnoxiously pointed out to my party as we tried to snag an outside table...
Last night on tap was, Magic Hat 9, Heavy Seas Red Sky, Sweetwater 420, NC Red Seal Ale, Tucher Hefe, and a few other average taps. In year's past, I have seen Brooklyn Brown and their Reserve Series, Terrapin, Lagunitas, etc.
=]Bottle list is nothing crazy, including Golden Monkey, Loose Cannon, some Belgians and some Bud & Miller.
The food is the big highlight here. Burgers are some of the best in Decatur. Fried catfish sandwich is killer too. Last night I had the trout, with succotash & spaghetti squash. Toots likes the baked Jamacian chicken wings. Also on the newly revised menu was fresh Atuna, served a few different ways.

Had a little bit of a difficult time finding this place, but eventually realized it was right in front of me on several trips down college street. This was a really cool local place, which had a nice cozy atmosphere about it. Not very crowded at all and for me that is a good thing as I like the quiet nature of it. Some TVs setup for the game and I did notice a PGA game I think it was in the corner. Selection was fairly average, about 10-15 taps with mostly locals but some of the better seasonal offerings from Rogue and DFH are always a treat. Alot of macros mixed in, and a belgian or two. Staff was friendly, but I was just passing through so did not really have time to chill. A nice smaller place that I would stop in again if given the chance. Not bad at all.

My girlfriend and I went to the Corner Pub for Sunday brunch. The place is located off College Street in a very modern looking business complex. When you first enter the place you are facing a large "L" shaped bar that has a lot of seating. There are misc booths and tables for seating out on the floor area. The décor is wood, steel, and concrete with lots of widow space and therefore well lit. A local photographer has prints on the walls (jkamera@mindspring.com) and the overall feel is contemporary but comfy. They had about 10 taps, which isn't a lot, but the important thing is that they focus only on craft and local breweries (gotta love that). They have about 20 bottles/cans as well and they are very diverse in their selection. The food is very good. I had the southwest scramble. I have been told that the chef makes all food items from scratch and it tastes like it. The Corner Pub also has beer tasting events on select nights. It's not Decatur's top beer spot by any means, but it is one more place in a growing beer destination for the greater Atlanta area.
