I have been to this place several times. It is located over by the Curcit City behind the Galleria.
Service: I have had them ask if I need any help. They are a lot more knowlagable on the wines, then the beer that they carry.
Selection: For a non beer store this place has a good selection of beer for Alabama. They sell sample packs of beers from the World and the US. Then they have a slection of about 30 or more singles.
Quality:They sell a sample packs of Beers Of The World and Beeer Of The US. I have never seen a person buy one, so you might want to stay away. Most of the singles seem to be in good shape and not tooo old.

This place has the more macro micros and popular imports that are mass produced. You can find your Guinness, Becks, St Pauli Girl, Corona, and of course Heineken. Many more of the others that most can find in a grocery store (no micro micro beers or domestic), but you can buy singles of everything they sell. The day I went, ALL singles were $1.85 and I can buy many of those for less at other locations in town. My advice is to go there if you are in the area and want to try some of the more popular imports and micros by building your own 6 pack(s).

Visited The World Market on a recent trip to the 'Ham with a couple of buds. This location has a pretty good selection of beers which are currently available under Alabama law. I was happy to pick up a couple of sixers of Terrapin Rye Pale Ale and Sweetwater IPA. Also spotted some Rouge Dead Guy Ale among others. Some singles are available for those who wish to build their own six pack. They also have a nice wine selection if that's your thing. Different styles of beer and wine glasses along with snacks to eat with your beer are also available.

Stopped in during Thanksgiving by accident. Odd kind of store, kind of a cross between a Grocery Store and Pier One Imports.
Quality of singles looked fine, but probably a good idea to stay away from the sampler packs they have put together at the front of the store. No personal knowledge, but....
Service is pretty much non-existent as far as beer information.
Selection was good. They had a lot of the stuff available in Alabama. Go towards the back of the store, near the wine. Glassware also, off to the left of the store.
Overall, if you are in the area doing some shopping, not a bad place to stop.
