On tap at Beer Deluxe. From notes.

A - Poured black with a one finger light brown head. Decent rings of lace and a film of retention.

S - Chocolate, milk chocolate, and some pear.

T - Chocolate, roast, some dark fruit, some light pear.

M - Good carbonation, medium to full body, and a sweet and better finish.

O/D - Not bad. Chocolatey and smooth. Seems pretty basic while still being solid.

375 ml on tap into a Tulip glass.

A-Light tan head about 3 cm. Lacing pretty thoroughly covered the inside of the glass as it went down.

S-Burnt chocolate, not much else.

T-The front of this beer is sweet cream. Not too sweet and it moves quickly to bittersweet chocolate, and heavy roast. The sweetness lingers into the roast taste but the finish is lingering chocolate. The sweetness of the cream taste is what makes this beer so amazing to me, in comparison with other IRS.

M-Creamy, smooth and a subtle cleansing feeling from the carbonation.

O-This was an amazing beer. The sweetness really set it apart. But retained enough roast flavor to keep it from being too sweet. I wish it was being served in pints, but worth buying two 375ml glasses.

This pours a deep black with a tight, creamy tan head. Okay retention and nice lacing.

Sweet malts and some caramel are prominent in the aroma. A hint of roast follows up. Some milk chocolate rounds out the nose. It is obviously a stout but seems a bit uninspired.

A very malty beer with good roast bitterness helping to balance it out. Slightly minerally at the start. An initial sweetness flows into a stronger roast bitterness that lingers. A decent beer but it seems a bit straightforward. A hint of diacetyl is present.

Slightly thicker than medium body but it isn't huge. Lower than average carbonation. I'd like something a bit silkier.

A tasty, drinkable stout but it seems a bit uninspired. The lowish alcohol content helps drinkability.

A - Very dark brown, almost black. A centimetre of head that falls away quickly.
S - Smell is dark fruit with an alcohol waft and chocolate touch.
T - All of the smell with the dark fruitiness coming through at first backed up by a bitter chocolate finish.
M - Fairly full, smooth mouthfeel with medium carbonation. The bitter chocolate taste lingers.
D - All in all a good tasting stout. At $2.50 more a pint than surefoot stout it could probably be a bit more full on in my opinion.
