Pours a coppery amber with a generous slightly off white head that stays awhile. Malty flavor with some hop flavor. Very good winterbier. Recommended!

I bought this at the local toom store in Wiesbaden. There was plenty of thick white head which formed a frothy dome. The lace was about average. There was an Orange-red body. The aroma was sugary sweet. The flavor was strong in sweet malty character and honestly sat a little heavy. There was some very mild hops tone at the end. Medium bodied. Overall, a great winter beer.

Pours amber with large slightly off-white head with good retention that leaves patchy lacing. Aroma is very light caramel malt.
Taste is sweetish bready malt, caramel, light fruity notes with low herbal bitterness. Mouthfeel is smooth medium with moderate carbonation.
Overall, it seems to be one of the best of Oettinger beers. I would say it is Maerzen/Oktoberfest beer, but not a Munich Dunkel.

Deep copper color, white foam, quite beautiful, but quickly falling down.
Malty smell, quite easy.
Again a good maltiness in the taste, with light biscuit notes, and a finishing hop.
After a little warming, some honey notes, not invading, rises up.
After all, quite well balanced.
Good maltiness, pleasant, with a balancing hop.
The aftrtaste starts malty, with strong biscuitnotes, then a good hop.

I bought a half-liter of this at a local discount super-store for .39 euro cents + .08 VAT. I didn't have much hope, given the ridiculously low price, but was very happily surprised.
There was a nice, resilient head, which slowly died off, leaving a small cap and no film. The beer was a light, amber color. The smell was weak, nearly absent, but the taste more than made up for that.
A full-bodied, nutty, very pleasing orchestra of flavors greeted me. There was a very slight hint of fruit - prunes, but not in any sort of a bad way - tumbling off into nearly indiscriminate, but interesting, flavors: hops, fruit rot and a ghost of caramel perhaps.
A moderate bite of carbonation fronted an overall dense beer. Too deep to be a session beer though.
For the price, an unbelievable deal.

The head is not stable, only a thin layer remains on top. Color was medium brown. The smell was very grainy and malt-like. Taste of malt, slight bitter and a bit of caramel, pretty thick beer which lingers around in my mouth. Low carbonation and cleanliness of low fermentation yeast.
Aftertaste is bitter, and leaves a long aftertaste of caramel. This is a very good German beer.
