341ml bottle poured into a pint glass
Appearance - straw yellow coloured, medium size fizzy white head, and medium carbonation. Minimal lacing.
Smell - bread/grains, a fruit like sweetness, faint hops.
Taste & Mouth - yeast, barley/wheat, above average
carbonation, sweet notes, and a dryness, almost like a white wine.
Drink - This is beer is okay, but there's many other beers I'd rather be drinking.

A - Poured with one finger of white head that doesn't stick around long. The body is clear and golden with light rings of lace on the glass.
S - Sweet, grainy malt and a hint of herbal hop aroma.
T - Sweet malt up front with some graham cracker and bready notes in the middle. The beer finishes with dry, grainy notes and light, grassy hops.
M - Medium body, moderately high carbonation, and a dry finish.
D - A reasonably well done euro lager, a bit light to call it a pilsner, but it has a but of hop character. Nothing to write home about, but drinkable.

Belle Guele Pilsner….in a bottle….
Appearance-blond pale color into the glass, foamy white head comes up and leaves quickly. Crackly bubbled carbonation.
Smell-typical grainy nose with a small dash of hops and alcohol, the smell lingers pleasantly
Taste/Mouthfeel-light mouthfeel, more grain and a touch of hops, malt nowhere to be found, slight floral touches but they don’t really stay around or make much of an impression. Taste is somewhat balanced and pleasant, ok smoothness down a pretty clean finish that leaves a last touch of cooked corn.
Overall-a pleasant pilsner, would’ve liked to have seen more fullness or some hops and other character added but this is mildly pleasant and inoffensive.

A clear golden brew, a white high head, medium lacing.
Smell of pears, some lemon and fresh grass.
Tasting of white bread, some lime, and a grassy bitterness.
Medium carbonation, a fresh coarseness, a medium body and a dry finish.
A clean and nice pilsener.

Pure white head with good retention and good legs. Color is very pale. Nice spicy and herbal hops on the nose. Hops dominate the flavor - nice and tangy against the light malt backbone.
This is a great pilsner. I always bring some back when I go to Quebec, but need to remember to drink it quickly as it does not keep well. When fresh (especially when the weather is hot), it is hard to find a better thirst quencher. A well made lighter beer to balance the hop bombs, imperials, and other current trends.

Comes across as a lightweight without the distinctive hoppiness and crispness of a proper pilsener.
Clear gold colour with a moderate head that leaves just a ring. No lace. Subdued across the board in its aroma and taste. Hops and malts present but not a particularly flavourful brew.
Drinkable but uninspired. Needs hops. Not real interesting as pilseners go.

341ml bottle poured into a pint glass.
Wanted to grab some beer on the way home after work. The dépanneur I visited only stocked Belle Gueule and Tremblay. Picked up a six pack and figured I'd give it a try.
A - Poured a clear golden colour with a white head that quickly drops to a thin cap. Pretty much what one would expect from a Pilsner. Not much lacing though.
S - Aroma is grassy with a light grainy sweetness. There's also a slight herbal quality to it.
T - Light malt profile and a very light hop presence. It doesn't taste bad but it doesn't taste like a Pilsner either. It's flavour is more like that of a light Lager.
M - Good carbonation, a bit creamy upfront and dry in the finish.
D - Goes down pretty easy due to it's inoffensive and light flavour.
Overall this is just an average attempt at a Pilsner/Lager.

Bottle-Grassy, grainy nose with some apple and yeast. Pours a clear sparkling gold, and caps with a thin white fizz. Slightly sweet flavours of grain and malts with a touch of floral like hops and some mineral flavours too. Light-Medium body with good carbonation.

Poured a medium straw hue with a one finger foamy white head. There was good retention and decent lacing.
The smell featured a soft creamy malts with a slight hop spice.
The taste was a bit muddles with an overly soft malt. Some hop spice came through, but most was dampened by the creamy, full malt.
The mouthfeel was overly creamy for the style.
Overall a tasty beer, but not the best example of the style.

Great four-finger head which leaves very good head on the glass. The liquor is clear and dark gold in color.
The nose features a raw grain (unmalted) smell. There is appropriate light hop in the background.
I'd describe this beer as accurate in flavor to the style. Nice blend of malt and hop with neither overwhelming the other. The body is also accurate for the style which is to say that it is moderate to low against most micros.
I received this beer in Montreal...I would recommend this for anyone who enjoys pilsners and find themself in Quebec.

Served by the pint from tap at Nyks in Montreal. (Good food there, too!)
Possibly the best Pilsner beer I've had outside of the Czech Republic. I've tried many so-called Pilsners brewed in North America, and they just don't do the style justice.
The Belle Gueule poured a golden color with a nice head that lingered appropriately and left a nice lace on the glass.
Tastewise, the beer had an authentic body, matched perfectly with Saaz hops. Neither the body nor the hops were overdone. I was left wondering where this beer has been all my life.
Very drinkable!

Best before end of September 2006. 25 days past date. Don't know if it would have been better fresher, but it certainly hadn't gone bad and I feel I have had enough of these in the past to be able to tell.
A- Pours a nice white head over a clear golden colour. Good bubbliness. Head sticks to the glass.
S- Smells like beer. Hops pleasant and a bit of fruitiness as it warms. Too weak though.
T- Hops profile is pleasant. malt is weak. Slightly yeasty flavour. Not bad in the easy to drink / refreshing beer category. Too mild for great makrs and is hampered by a lingering aftertaste that isn't quite pleasant.
MF- Light but not really watery. Above average for light, thirst quenching beer.
D- Very easy, refreshing, hot day on the beach type of beer. Goes down like water but still tastes like decent beer.

pours a clear straw colored body with a decent head. a mild pils hop smell, a little corn husk. the flavor has good ballance, meaning the hops are on the conservative side but distinctivly pilsner. this is a good transition beer for someone to get into a pils, and work their way up to an urquel or stella. it is very thirst quenching though, with a good mouthfeel and a high drinkability.

Bomber with date code.
Crystal clear light gold with a creamy white head that stays for a while and laces well. Smells sweet and spicy. Honey, hay, and scallions. Taste is not bad, it is just very similar to air. Very pleasant air, but air nonetheless. I want flavor in my beer. Great balance and just fluffy enough, this feels exceptionally smooth on the tongue. Easily drinkable, just needs some flavor. I would drink this again, but probably forget it just as quickly as I am forgetting this one.

This pilsner is just average in both outward categories, but is very good where it matters.
A hazy golden yellow offering with a small crown and adequate carbonation.
The nose is barely noticable, maybe a very low presence of yeast.
The flavour is very good and well defined. Well balanced to begin with a grainy maltiness mixed with a floral like bitterness ending slightly to the hops.
I believe to be an exellent session brew.

Hazy straw-yellow color with a full pillowy white head and decent carbonation. Light almost cooked-corn type aroma with the faintest hint of hops. Tastes much like it smells with considerable Blond Ale character. Light-Medium bodied (leans Medium) and smooth with Ale qualities.
Not very Czech-like as label states ... more of a Blond Ale (although it's not an ale) or a standard Pilsner.

Bottle - This one pourred a very light brew with a small white head. This brew has a light body with even lighter malt taste. Below average pils from a brewery who seems to be missing in the fresh idea department. I won't be seeking this one again anytime soon.
