So this place is about three or four blocks from my house and I had not been inside until this past Tuesday. International Fine Fare is a 24 hour grocery store...overall it is a pretty average place as far as grocery stores go, but there are some great deals(like four bagels for a dollar and what not.) and it is the best thing I have in walking distance.
Service....the same as most grocery stores...no one working the beer case, but I only expect that if it is a place like Whole Foods or something. As far as quality and service my only really complaint is that the cooler looked a little empty and most things did not have prices.
Selection: So the selection is not stellar, but some big surprises. They stock the entire Chimey and Unibroue lines....Kwak, Ommegang($7.99 for the 750ml...I know that is a little high), and several other Belgians. AS far as six packs go they had about three or four Magic Hats including Roxy Rolles. BluePoint Winter, Toasted, Hoptical and Blueberry. Stone IPA six pack for $9.99 and bombers of Arrogant Bastard, IPA and Smoked Porter for $4.99. Hebrew 10:10 bombers for $4.99....Thomas Hooker Pale Ale Sixer for $9.99 (and I have not seen this anywhere before). Dogfish Head Brown, 60, 90 and Raison d'etra. A couple Smutty and Victory sixers...and a couple germany sixers and singles...as well as your selection of macro stuff.
Although this may not be a destination for people in lower manhattan anyone in Washington Heights and Inwood should definitely check it out. I'm really happy to be able to get some of these things at anytime of the night just a few blocks from my house!

I stopped in here on my way further downdown, easy off of the Henry Hudson parkway, first exit after the toll when heading south. Neighborhood has that a "Bonfire of the Vanities" feel to it, if you know what I mean...anyway this is a pretty large market, lots of ethnic speciality and "regular" foods, the brew is to be found on the aisle to the far left hand side after you enter, both in a shelving area and in a cooler area. the review below covers the actual selections. Good 24 hour resource in a neighborhood that is otherwise pretty darn thin beerwise
