Stopped here with my wife and a friend. It has ski lodge atmosphere which was kind of cool.
Dinning to the left when you enter, bar straight ahead, and arcade to the right.
I had the Blueberry Stout and my wife the Black IPA 2000 batch brew, and our friend the Apricot wheat. I didn't get much of the blueberry, or any at all, but didn't mind it because the stout was very good-except the beerrs were are poured into a very cold shaker glass. My wife enjoyed the Black IPA but I found it a little rough.
We split an order of their blooming onion, mushroom swiss burger, and fish and chips.
The food was OK, my wife liked it more than I.
I would come back here any time I am in Arnold.

This is a pretty good brewpub, small, simple, but enjoyable with sme pretty good beer.
The place itself is not that impressive, small and fairly simple. It's dark and windowless in the main eating earea, beyond what one can see past the bar to the wall that has windows. It is mostly like a slightly more interesting standard beer-pizza joint. However, it is enjoyable with some good decor - the bar is open to the back allowing for a nice back part with seating, while snowshoes appropriately are prominent here, logical because of the place's name and the location. It does have a fairly nice window area looking out on to a putting range. The typically friendly, happy, and easygoing manner of the people helps bring up the vibe.
The beer quality overall is good, with some basic beers, all that I have had being at least good but not great. A couple beers also are very good. It has better beer than many other brewpubs, the best chices especially bringing it to a slightly higher level.
Service is generally efficient and very friendly.
The beer selection is very average and weaker point, most of the beers being of very standard styles and with only a fairly small selection on tap at any given time.
Food is pretty good, fairly basic and standard, by no means interesting or particularly well crafted. However, it's good, consistent, reliable, and overall enjoyable.
This is always a good place to stop when going through the area to Bear Valley or elsewhere, or after a walk at Big Trees.

I can remember when I was still underage... so many years ago... I would peek in here with a yearning to be a part of the hip apre-snowboarding crowd who were 21 and up.
After a while, in college, I was clever enough to date a guy from Arnold for a while, which meant I had plenty of excuses to come here, even just for growler pick-ups before heading to another party.
It's a real treat to have Snowshoe Brewing Company in a small town like Arnold, and really handy for Bear Valley trips.
And, they're nice, even to "flatlanders."

This place is located up in the mountains near Calavares State Park. It is located on the end of a small golf course. Inside, there were about 10 video games off to the right. The restraunt was to the left. There was a bar in the middle of the room, with about 30 tables around the bar. The walls were wood paneled up to the many windows. Looking out on one side, was the golf course. The other side looked into the brewing equipment. The remaining wall space was fliied with old fashioned snow shoes It looked a little rustic. They had on tap the Snoweizen, Apricot Wheat, Thompson Pale Ale, ESB (Extra Special Blizzard) Grizzly Brown, and two specialty brews, an Irish Red, and a Porter. They also had a few different wines. The prices were good. The servers were friendly. They didnt know a lot about the beer they were serving, but they new the basics. This is a nice place out in the middle of the mountains. If you are in the area, a stop might be good.
