Pours a very murky, muddy, brown in color. There was a eighth inch of head on the pour, but that has since disappeared and is now just around the perimeter of the glass.
Smell is very dark wine like. There's some belgian candy sugar and some dark figs as well.
Taste is even more dark wine than is in the smell. Moutheel is a bit thinner than I was expecting, but works none the less. Lots of grape flavors come through in the flavor. The alcohol is completely unnoticeable in this beer. Even more so than the other Pannepot varietals.
Outstanding beer, and getting more complex as it warms. I can't get enough of the Struise Pannepot offerings. Can't have enough of this in the cellar.
