On-tap at Crabtree Tavern. I must say I was hesitant to try since my last Big Boss beer was a drain pour. (it was bottled and someone mentioned to me the qc was not up to snuff) However, I am glad I tried this. Tan, hazy color with nice head and lacing. Nice clove, malty smell. Taste was just enough sweetness from the malts, nice interpretation of a Dunkel. Mouthfeel and drinkablity was good so I had two while waiting for my wife to finish shopping at the mall. I think I am going to try this on the the home tap.

On-tap at The Bier Garden, Asheville, NC
A: The beer is slightly hazy brownish amber in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a thin off white head that died down, leaving a large patch of bubbles on the surface and a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of wheat and fruity yeast are present in the nose—dark fruits and bananas stand out in particular.
T: The taste is similar to the smell and also has subtle hints of sweetness from the underlying caramel malts.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is easy to drink and is very tasty for an American-made dunkelweizen.

Cloudy chestnut colored body under a nicely creamy, but small off-white head. Smells of dried banana, peanut skins, clove, and a vague spiciness. Banana, wheat, earth, and a thin sweetness. A light chocolaty note and surprising tartness. Medium bodied, a little dry, not much creaminess. Needs a lot of work and I don't think it made a great transition to the bottle.

This is still brewed,Iam drinking a new bottle right now.Pours into a weizen glass a russet/copper color with lacey slight off white head atop.It smell like bananas foster with it's caramel and banana notes.Flavors of toasted wheat and chocolate malts but not overly sweet, the toasted notes stand out most, not overly phenolic. It's not bad but not overly complex, the toasted flavors are nice.
