Patronized this restaurant with my friend during a windy Friday night. It was a lively place filled with younger working crowds. There were some outside seatings. The interior has tasteful lighting and design. The place was aiming more for a classy atmosphere.

The quality of the beers was mediocre at best. They had five or six house beers, and you can order a taster flight for all of their brews for a very inexpensive price. The stout tasted like a carbon copy of Guinness, the lager they had was the most drinkable one, the ale was not bad but not memorable either.
They did have some nice glasswears, they had a 1-liter tall and skinny glass that's fun to drink from.
Service was good, as the place was bustling with customers I wouldn't complain if the pace was a bit slow.
The food style they served was Thai-styled. The portion was generous but I wasn't too hungry. My friend ate most of the food and he said it was delicious.
It was definitely a worthy place to visit if you are in town. With the plethora of nightlife destinations in Taipei, this is probably not a place for a wild night. But if you are looking for something remotely different from your everyday Taiwan Beer, this is a place worthy for a visit.

Despite the name, "Brewery+Restaurant", this is NOT a brewpub to start with, as no beer is produced on the premise (due to the municipal law, no alc. is allowed to be produced within the municipal boundary). There's a copper on display, though, along with many jars of malts and grains, and beers are dispensed on tap at the back of the bar. I guess these somehow give people an idea that beers must be "fresh" while being consumed here.

House beers stand at 5-6 in the range, from Pilsner, Weizen, through Pale Ale, Stout, to Scotch Ale, plus one seasonal that was a "Belgian Honey Ale" at my latest visit and a "Vienna Lager" at an earlier visit in Nov. 2007. All beers are dispensed from tall, large tube-shaped taps behind the bar without any tap-clips indicating which is which. There's offer on the tasting tray for any three or six beers (without a tray though); this perhaps is the safe bet for anyone trying their beers for the first time - it worked for me. For, to be honest, all beers are, as commented by the previous reviewer, pretty mediocre. The idea to leave all beers served murky (unfiltered but pasteurised) actually leaves a common sour-yeasty taste regardless how suitable it is for any beer style. As a result, the Stout, Pale Ale and Scotch Ale (nothing Scottish about it at all...) are all tainted and the flavour unnecessarily compromised, while Pilsner, Weizen, and Belgian Honey Ale are in fact more drinkable and quite tasty this way.

Food-wise, it is Thai-style mainly, and the quality is genuinely very good even by Taipei's high culinary standards! The service is polite and friendly as well as generally efficient, while the interior comes rather chic, modern and slightly like an American brewpub diner. To liven the atmosphere a bit, the place holds drinking contests (3 different kinds) every 2nd and 4th Friday evening of each month. For foreign beer lovers that do not know how else to kill a humid yet "dry" evening whilst in Taipei, this place is actually not a bad destination at all~~
