2010: A foggy dark amber beer, a beige compact head that leaves some lacing.
The smell is intriguing, fruity, sweet, but also oil and dirt.
Rather much acidity in the taste, some toast and a good long bitterness.
Medium high carbonation, small bubbles and a fresh and smooth feeling.
The hops are there but a bit bland, not bad but I should have liked more punch in the bitterness.
2011:A clear dark amber beer, an off-white head that leaves some lacing.
The smell is floral, fruity; pears, apples, nuts, hay.
Upfront sweet, cereal, some toast, fruits, ripe red apples, and a grassy long bitterness.
Medium carbonation, small bubbles, a medium but good body, a dry finish.
This year (2011) it was more fresh hops. Much better. The rating is for the 2011 version.
On-tap at a beer tasting at De Klomp.

The colour is amber; the three finger head is warm beige. Liquid is clear, some lacing occurs.
The smell is fresh and somewhat sour and hoppy with a fine bitterness and a hint of honey.
The taste is fresh and bitter in a balanced way. Some yeasty notes with a sweet hint and a touch of wood. The body is medium. The aftertaste brings more bitterness with a hint of lemon acid and fresh flowers.
The carbonation is fresh and medium to strong. The liquid is medium smooth.
A pleasant English-style beer with a fresh feeling of spring. No suprises here...
