Pours a dark brown with decent head and nice creamy lace.
Aroma has lightly roasted malt, caramel, tofee, vanilla and even a hint of coffee.
Mostly roasted malts taste. Hint of dark fruits. Hops are evident mostly in the finish. Light bodied, creamy, smooth and easy to drink. A solid beer overall.

A: Pours dark brown with lots of hues of red with a large off-white thick creamy lovely head that after a long, long time set into quite nice lacings.

S: Dark roasted dry malt, some chocolate. Liqourice and dark bread is very obvious. Dark dried fruits. Faint coffee and even fainter notes of vanilla. Some smoked ham lingers.

T: Very nice dark roasted malt, sweet and with a nice balanced smoked-ham-vibe. Chocolate and dark dried fruits. Well hidden is some liqourice.

M: Aftertaste is rather short, but holds a nice balanced sweet bitterness. Body is medium to full while carbonation is held back.

O: A nice Schwarzbier, probably the best Czech one I've had so far.

Served from a bottle into a .3L glass Halleroder jug in Berlin, Germany, at me friend's gaff. Reviewed from notes. Cost was .45 euro in the local supermarket.

A: Pours a four finger head of tan colour, nice cream, and good thickness. Colour is a nontransparent dark brown.

Sm: Caramel, chocolate, and toffee. Nice complexity.

T: Chocolate body with caramel, some nuts, cream, and toffee on the climax alongside an injection of extra chocolate. Complex and well-balanced. I quite fancy it. Well built for a dunkel.

Mf: Smooth, nicely slightly creamy, and wet, but coarse enough to maintain the complexity. A bit too dry for a dunkel on the finish.

Dr: .45 euro is an excellent price for such a good beer. It's very drinkable. I'd like to try it on draught, hopefully at a similar price.

Pours clear brown with foamy brownish head with good retention, downsliding lacing. Aroma is coffee, roasted bitterness.

Taste is sweetish (there is artificial sweetener in the ingredients list) coffee-like roasted, becomes more bitter towards the finish and what seems like mild bittery citrus malt in the aftertaste. Some sweetish residue remains on the lips. Mouthfeel is light with moderate carbonation.

Overall, very drinkable and rather enjoyable, I did not like the sweetness though.

I know you shouldn't review a beer while at a festival, but International Green Week in Berlin isn't a normal festival.

My half litre glass of this beer was made all the more exciting because I hadn't seen or heard of it since my last review when the wife brought a bottle back from berlin a few years ago.

The breweries trade stall was gulfed by the bigger players in the Czech Republic but I wanted to try this again, my friends had the Pilsner on tap, but I choose this.

It was everything the bottle was and more, a fine beer and one I hope to try again on my trip to Prague latter this year.
