Visited back on 7/28/2010 during a Denver/Boulder trip. The store is located in Westminster on Sheridan not too far off 36. There is a large parking lot out front.
The store is reminiscent of Bevmo! in that it is large big box type store with a good selection of beer. The majority of the beer is located on the left side of the store, a large portion of it in coolers, plus a few shelves in the same vicinity.
The beer selection is pretty good, and it appears that almost everything sold in 4-6 packs is available in singles. Lots of regional brewers like Upland, Oskar Blues, Boulder, Great Divide, Fort Collins, and New Belgium, plus lots of west coast stuff like Port Brewing/Lost Abbey and Stone.
Service is pretty standard for a cavernous place like this. People asked if we needed help and that is about it.
Overall this place is a good spot to hit if suitcase space is a factor and you want to grab a few beers representative of the area.

Wow, this place is totally huge, possibly the largest beer/liquor store I have ever been to. Thank you hot aunt (not mine, gf's)Sharon for bringing us to this place. Reminded me of the feeling I got in the 90s walking into my first Bevmo. Well, this place blows the doors off any Bevmo back then, now, and probably in the future (slight ode to Bret Hart there). Its about the size (and probably a former) of a supermarket.
Wine to the right on the entrance, just an amazing rack system. You have to walk to the back of the place to find the beer, but when you get there, damn, there's just tons and tons of it in coolers, again, possibly the most extensive cooler section of beer I've seen. And its a good mixture selection wise, you have your high end C&C bottles, bombers, six packs etc. . . and they're not just CO beers (although they do have some CO rarities at the most competitive prices, i.e. Oud Floris).
I spent a lot here, but got a massive amount of beer. Their pricing is competitive with anyone within the state as far as I could tell.
Look, here's the bottom line: If you are shopping for beer in the Denver proper area: Shop Argonaut. If you're in the burbs between Denver and Boulder, shop this place.

I've been wanting to hit this place for a while now. Chance came tonight. Not really hard to find, just look for Best Buy.
Clean store and well lit. Beer is on the left as you walk in. Whole wall of cooler doors with about 5 reserved for singles. Nice mix 6 deal. Macros are at the far end. Good marketing strategy there. Small selection of glassware, but oh well..I'm here for beer. Imports and domestic singles/special release/big-guys are on warm aisles. Pretty good selection of breweries, perhaps could be more deep within each. Picky picky I know, but I was hoping to find Mikkeller single hop beers. No luck. But I did pick up 5 Thomas Hardys.
Service is average, and that's fine. Pretty good value...I got the shopper's card.

Though not as good as Davidsons, this would be a real good choice if on the north side of Denver.
The pros: Loved the build your own sixer & they had a few brews not seen elsewhere.
I've had about 10 beers from there & all but one were in good shape.
Service-wise it was a Saturday, so maybe the staff was rushed, they were almost friendly, if somewhat blase about beer
Selection, almost as good as the aforementioned davidsons, a little weak on regional & CO breweries IMO. Better stores around here for that. Still any time I'm up that way, I will drop in & spend no problem!
Prices seemed in line with the area
Liqour & wine selection looked first-rate

Located in the Wal-Mart/Bestbuy shopping center, this is yet another huge warehouse style liquor store. All the beer is on the right, with coolers lining the entire wall, along with a selection of mostly imports warm opposite the coolers. They seem to have a pretty good selection, and often get new releases out on the shelves quicker than some of the other places around. They also swap out CO2 tanks. I haven't been impressed with the service, with most people just seeming to go through the motions. If you are in the area, this is a pretty good resource.

Great selection, good prices, but otherwise so-so.
The best part first. Total carries a tremendous variety of beer. Lots of micros and many imports, as well as the usual macros fill the coolers here. Almost everything is available in singles and they discount the singles if you build a six pack. They even have a discount club. If you need a change of pace from beer, they have a very nice selection of wine and other liquor. If selection is what you're looking for, this is the place to be.
Service on the other hand, is only average. There were too few staff members. And the ones I encountered weren't particularly knowledgeable. Another down side, is that much of the beer is out on the floor rather than in the coolers. Most of the six packs seem to be kept cold, but many singles are sitting out on shelves and the cases were built into displays.

Westminster Total Beverage is very close to my office so I am a frequent patron. The selection is very good with lots of bombers 750's and singles. They have lots of Belgians, Germans, Brits in addition to a very good selection of American craft beers. Port, Ballast Point, Stone, Alaskan, Lagunitas, Russian River, and tons of Colorado beers. They always get the limited and seasonal releases and their prices are pretty good. They also occasionally offer 20% coupons which is very cool. The beer staff are friendly and helpful. The only beers they don't carry that I wish they did are Cantillon and Drie Fonteinen.

A nice, new, cleaner building. Big and organized nicely. Great selection and you can pretty much find whatever you are looking for. They are often one of the first places to bring in new beers to the market (like Rogue's Hazelnut Brown Nectyar 6 Packs). Main reason I travel out of my way to come here though is they quality Build Your Own 6 Pack selection. They don't have everything but they do have a lot, a nice broad selection to choose from. Service is often MIA. This place is priced all over the place, you can find some great deal (best price for Firestone Walker 6 packs of DBA, 12 pcks of Deschutes Red Chair, etc) but they seem to balance those deals out by over pricing things (like Odell's 6 packs for over $10). I do come here a lot because I like to build my own 6 packs and this is the best and most convenient location that offers that.

I stopped in Total Beverage just to pick up a six pack and check out the store. I found that it was very impressive and quite massive, 25,000-square feet in size. They carry over 14,000 types of wine, beer, liquor and other beverage items from over 50 countries. I spoke with one of the sales associates and learned that they are a relative of the Total Beverage in Thornton, just own by different people. Needless to say I found there huge selection of beer and friendly staff to a real plus. I also found the prices to be very competitive. If you are in the area of 92nd and Sheridan, Id stop in a check it out.

This has become my "candy store"; a great selection of beer and just up the street from me. On a few occassions, I've been able to "talk beer" with beer people from the store, taking on suggestions, adding my two cents worth, etc. I have been able to find the standard macros (naturally), as well as a great selection of micros and imports. The staff has always been friendly when I'm in. Price is reasonable, selection of spirits is great (Stranahans Colorado Whiskey!!) I will most definitely continue to patronize this store, even though my wallet might hate me for that later!
