A- Pours pitch black with a finger of incredibly rich, creamy espresso colored head. Leaves pretty good lacing.

S- Not much on the nose, some milk chocolate and coffee beans, a bit of malt.

T- Lots of coffee, roasted malts, char, and chocolate. Hops are noticeable towards the finish. Finish is dry and very roasted.

M- Does pretty damn well on nitro tap. Medium bodied, loads of carbonation with a very rich, creamy, velvety feel. The feel is pretty rich but still pretty drinkable.

O- A great dry stout, definitely a beer for people who want lots of roasted malt and char.

A: Black. When held up to the light, still no traces of any dark copper or brown around the edges. Large, creamy, off-white head. Leaves a lot of lacing.
S: Not too powerful of a smell. Smells of coffee, and a bit smoky too.
T: Tastes strongly of cocoa. Begins bitter like cocoa or strong dark chocolate, but doesn't leave much of a bitter aftertaste. There is also some smoky flavor, as well as that of dark malts.
M: Creamy and round.
D: Not very high abv, definitely easy to drink (aside from the obvious thickness as a stout).
Great dry stout--will continue to get it regularly. Unfortunately, since stouts don't tend to be the most popular beer of college crowds, Jupiter only has a relatively small amount of the dry stout at any given time, so it is often not available when I've asked for it.

I had this offering in Jupiter during March and was relatively impressed with it. This beer doesn't compare to their Redspot, their Honey Wheat nor to their excellent IPA's; however, it is a relatively tasty offering. It pours dark with a huge (I'm talking 1.5-2") creamy head off of the nitro tap & is a dry, hearty stout with heavy chocolate tastes. They use a two row barley, a roasted barley and "select dark malts" in making it. Not the best stout I've had, nowhere near the worst. I recommend it if you're going to be sitting in Jupiter for a long time. It drinks easily and is consistent in texture from top to bottom.
