A: Cloudy, apple cider looking with a decent white head and moderate lacing.

S: Fruity, sweetness, and spices.

T&M: Highly carbonated. Very tangy with a strong alcohol taste. Spicy, fruity and ultra bitter in the middle. Finishes with a fairly decent original spicy flavor.

Not one of my favorites, but fairly drinkable.

Tap at Antwerpen Bierhueske

Big creamy head almost 4 fingers, fades fairly slowly, semi clear golden pilsner color.

Nose is weird, it has some Belgian malt, blond and sweet, but a weird fruity aroma and an almost... ketchup? kinda flavor... light grainy husk sawdust, bit of fruity hop.

Taste starts with belgian malts again, and again that quick flash of a ketchup like, fruity flavors, mild fruity hops, some bitterness but not a lot, some grainy husk, semi sweet and little syrupy too. Finish is dry but a little sticky, earthy grassy hop bitterness lingering.

Mouth is med bodied, little warming booze, nice carb.

Overall not very good, seems like some off flavors, and not very hoppy for a beer called "hopus".

Best before 6/17/13.

Pours a murky dark orange-brown with a foamy bone head that settles to a film on top of the beer. A foamy curtain of lace coats the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, grape juice, spice, and alcohol aromas. Taste is much the same with slightly sour grape juice flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of spice bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that displays more fruit and spice aromas and flavors over any sort of hop presence this beer is supposed to have.

Swing tope bottle, 330 ml, at home. Poured into a tulip glass. ABV 8.3%
It opens with a loud pop and it pours in my glass a light orange golden beer, with a huge four fingers head. Soapy in texture, good retention. Ig goes down lazily, leaving a good amount of lacing around the glass.
Nice aroma, fruits, yeast present. Also sugars. On the background some of the alcohol.
Taste is bitter, again some yeast and some malts taste. Not very hoppy, but the hops that it does have make for a nice result and adding some floral notes.
Full body. Carbonation above average. Quite dry on the palate.
Overall, maybe I misinterpreted the name, along with the phrase "5 sorts of hops" and in my head I had it as something very hoppy, surely above average. At the end, it was a very nice beer, a typical example of a Belgian Ale. Very good, very easily drinkable, especially since the alcohol is just a tiny bit traceable, and very tasty.
