Notes:
American hops dominate this Rye I.P.A, creating an assertive citrus and passion fruit character. An old-world flavor from rye malt adds the perfect compliment to Goose Juice’s big, satisfying hop flavor and aroma. Originally home-brewed by our beloved brewer Goose, its wonderful combination of flavors inspired us to brew this specialty I.P.A.

Hazy medium orange with a decently foaming off white head that laces. Smell is pine, orange pith, herbal mildly bready. Taste is similar..pith, grassy herbal and resin hop flavors, its medium in overall bitterness. There is a mildly earthy spicy character from the rye. It could use a bit more hop flavor and character to balance the rye, I get none of these tropical..mango et al notes others have mentioned. The body is medium with a moderate carbonation. Nothing too exciting here, solid Rye IPA but not otherwise remarkable.

$9.99 for a 22 oz bottle. Brewer does NOT use freshness dating. A healthy pour into a chalice.
I know this is an American IPA, but the combination of the spicey rye and the hopped up bitterness is too much for me. It does not have to be an evenly balanced beer, but I believe some more sweetness would provide a little contrast and make this a much more drinkable beer. An average beer. Not bad, but one that I will probably pass by in the future considering the availability of so many above average beers. Maybe a candidate for a future re-review.
A - Pours a clear amber, with a 2-finger off-white dense head, well carbonated, good head retention and good lacing.
S - Resinous hoppy notes with a slight malty sweetness.
T - Carmel and spice. Very bitter in the finish (back of the tongue).
MF - Light to medium bodied, creamy with a sharp finish.

Poor - A lot of head on initial poor, which comes down the a 2 finger then settles down the a finger that remains. Lot's of lace. Color is deep orange to copper and very hazy like a wheat beer.
Nose - It's pretty complex. Spice; coriander, clove, ginger. Some citrus, blood orange. Not a typical nose for a beer.
Taste - Juice is appropriate to be in the title. This taste's more like juice then it does beer. Apricot, Orange, Lemon; some Anise/Licorice. The hop is present as well as the malt but they take a back seat to the "juice".
But let me not forget that this "IS" a Rye. So the Rye is very present. I'm just not used to Rye. So if we just take all the flavor's that I mentioned above... these would describe the Rye. A Spicy, Apricot, Citrus, Floral, Hey/Grassy blend.
All and all, a pretty darn good beer; just not my taste.

Acquired in a trade, poured from a 22 oz. bomber.
A - Hazy golden straw mixed with a little amber, had a nice two-finger head and decent lacing.
S - Sweet malts, rye, a sweet orange and tropical fruit scent really comes through the end. Almost a sticky pineapple smell, too.
T - Smooth wave of flavors, hints of orange, finishes with hops and rye and an incredible breadiness.
M - Medium body with an amazing aftertaste that makes you want another sip, very drinkable.
O - Probably my favorite Rye IPA I've had. Great flavor wave and drinkability for a rye.

Hoppin' Frog Brewery - Hopped-Up Goose Juice - 1pt 6fl oz "bomber"
Look - Pours a hazy caramel amber with an ever so slight reddish-brown tint. Nice soapy head with sticky fresh lacing.
Smell - Bitter citrus and resin hops with faint caramel malts and bready rye.
Taste - Smooth malt and hops together blended nicely. Bready rye comes in after and sits on the sides and in your throat. A little gentle on the palate, wanted it to "kick" a bit more. The hops are more like the "smooth fruits" like the melons rather than the grapefruit style that usually gives these types of brews a stark contrast to work with on the taste end. It just was not here.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied, not overly sticky and not boozy at all. Good drinkability. Super smooth tasty rye. Again here same with taste, it's smooth and good but no "oomph".
Overall - Good rye AIPA, commpare to Founders Red's Rye PA for a punchier version, although that one is technically a "Rye Beer" and not an AIPA, it still has several similarities with all the key enhancements most might be looking for. The Goose Juice is super smooth, which I believe was their point, so in that regard it is a great brew.
