22 to tulip. No idea how old it is. DATES, DAMN YOU. GIVE US DATES.
A - Medium amber, big off white head that sticks around and winds up a lasting film.
S - Yeasty malty biscuit, hint of caramel, minor hop presence
T - Pleasant. Pretty balanced. Restrained hop character - not really getting specifics like pine or citrus or whatever, aside from just a whisper of something vaguely fruity at the end. I get so few of the things others mention that I have to think mine is older and faded. A little honey on the exhale and mild hop tang left behind.
M - A little soft and ending just barely dry. It goes for a bit and then tapers off quickly, which is a neat thing.
O - I'd say this is a well done and balanced ale that's good for any time. Nothing too complex and straddles the line between beers you drink as an event to think about the beer and those beers you drink in situations where you're not really thinking about the beer and just want to enjoy something of basic quality. I think it would go nicely with just about any savory meal without competing. I wouldn't turn it away but I wouldn't say there's much to make it stand out or to buy it again over something new.
What if this beer is really great fresh and I have to give it a ho hum rating because it's old and faded? If it had a date I would know whether I was being fair in my rating. Without it, you get what you get, Hoppin' Frog. I won't buy this again. If it had a date, there'd be at least a 50/50 chance that I'd want to find a fresher one and try again.
Not that it factors into my ratings at all, but it's time to get new artwork and typefaces. This looks like a Microsoft Word clip art special.

Thin head on a hazy copper body with nice lacing. Aroma is near perfect with lots of grapefruit, very tangy and hoppy, nice toasted malt presence and very full on the nose. Very complex flavors and hop profile with citrus hops of grapefruit and pineapple and earthy hops on a well balanced caramel malt base. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Full flavored, complex and well balanced, what more could you want from an IPA. Now just work on the price.

Poured from a 22 ounce bottle into a DFH IPA glass.
A: Huge head, heavy lacing.
S: Great American hops. Grapefruit, pine, and spicy-fresh grass.
T: Solid IPA. Light, spicy, strongly citrusy. I like it.
O: Very drinkable, very pleasant. I would have a few more of these and will seek one out.

A: Pours out a cloudy amber color with 3 fingers of barely off white head. Great retention. Heavy draping lacing all the way down.
S: Ruby red grapefruit and dank pine.
T: Similar to the smell with some earthy tones.
M: Medium carbonation in a medium creamy body. The creamy body was a shocker for an IPA, but actually fit well. A little warming sensation as well.
O: Tastewise, it is average, but the look and mouthfeel are exceptional and make this beer unique.
