This is a great bottle shop in Brugge and a must visit when in that city. I stopped by here prior to going to the Cambrinus which is two buildings down the street. Really great selection of Belgian beers and glasses. I purchased a westy 8 and my friend was able to score a 2 bottles of westy 12. We asked about a westy glass and a De Struise glass but he said he did not have them in stock and to check back tomorrow because he would call about them. we stopped the next morning and he had the glasses for us and was very friendly. Great service and selection plus they speak English really well here too.

If you want it, they got it. This place is amazing, great selection and reasonable prices. Well laid out with really good service.

Centrally located, we were able to get a few beers for the hotel room and a few rare beers to take home.

Cool shop where we can't wait to go here again.

Had a great time here. They are knowledgeable and friendly, and sold me a bunch of beer to ship back (including Westvleteren). I absolutely love the giant walls of beer and beer glasses. If I ever come back to Brugge this is the shop I would come to.

After an unsuccessful attempt to enjoy some Westvleteren beers at the abbey (it was closed), we decided to check out Brugge on the way back.. De Bier Temple is located within less than a five minutes walk from the city center. It isn't a big store in terms of square footage, yet if you're looking for fine Belgian beer and glassware, the selection is impressive.. they have a lot of beers that I wouldn't be able to find in Chicago, including Westvleteren.

The staff was extremely professional and friendly. We chatted with the cashier and browsed the selection for about ten minutes after the store had closed.. we had purchased six bottles of Westy 12, a Westvleteren chalice, and a bottle of Cantillon Gueuze 100% Lambic Bio.. all of these items were carefully wrapped and packaged for us.

All in all, I'm glad I stopped in De Bier Temple.. it's definitely worth stopping in if you're in the area.

Great selection but definetly the tourist stop (not tourist trap)to get those hard to finds which means higher prices. However, the do have a ridiculous selection and a very cool atmosphere.

Lots of gift packs for samplers or gifts to bring home for any beer lover.

There's a great selection of glassware too and when I was there last year they allowed you to mix 6 packs.

If you are reading this you will want to at least check it out to be in awe of place and wish it were located in your hometown.

I was told this is the place to pick up some bottles. This is just a twenty feet away from the main square in town. Tons of bottles, glassware, hats, shirts, and well everything you can think of Belgian Beer. After some looking I asked for Westy, they asked how many of each do I want. Stupid me asked, how many you got... they showed me...it was like porn...cases of 12, yes cases. I only got two, because I have been so blessed on this trip with everything else, I could not be greedy. Go in here, you almost can't leave.

Guess who's coming home with 20 bottles of Westy!?!?!? The folks at bier temple were very accommodating. The nice lady even helped me wrap each bottle in bubble wrap and pack a couple of boxes full of beer. It's right off the main square and very easy to locate. The owner mentioned that he gets Westvleteren in commonly, and it was priced at 9.95 a bottle. A great way to finish off a couple of days in Bruges.

I went to De Bier Tempel prior to going to the Cambrinus which is right on the same street. The bottle selection was extensive and by the crowd inside you could tell instantly this was a popular establishment. I really wanted to give a shout out to the person working there (presumably the owner) who made a phone call to someone to get a Westvleteren glass for me to pick up before the end of my trip in Brugge. There is a big glass selection at this store, but there weren't any Westvleteren glasses so the owner placed a special order. I was very happy to leave Brugge with a Westvleteren glass. Thanks again for the excellent service! My friend and I also bought a couple bottles while we were there. It's a great store overall.

In Brugge this has to be one of my first stops or hopefully land some rare Belgians. On a quiet street very close to one of the squares and major churches. A very small but nice shop, clean, new, nice comfortable atmosphere. The beer is against the back wall, a rather small amount for the size of the shop. The rest of the shop was just trinkets and way to expensive beer gifts. The selection was big but boring. Mostly all Belgian staples, hardly anything that you cannot find at your local neighborhood grocery store. A few De Struise was the only highlight. Nothing remotely rare at all. A WEAK selection of Cantillon and lambics that can be find at ANY decent store in Chicago. This place is all hype and totally sucks. NOTHING rare, save your money and just buy from any of the local markets. So DISAPPOINTING.

Now this is a real bottle shop! What a great little spot with shelves that are jam packed with quality ales; specializing in West Flanders offerings, but with a good variety from every region of Belgium - all quality with no filler and no commercial crap like Palm, Hoegaarden, etc.
Had a real neighborhood bottle shop feel to it, with only one shopkeep that knew his stuff well and was pulling crazy bottles out of the back room for me. I walked with some amazing Cantillon's that I have never seen in the States, as well as being introduced to a few I had never heard of before, like - Smiske Nature-Ale and a some others that were absolutely delicious. We walked out of there very happy with the service, selection and quality being nothing short of top notch. The shopkeep even gave us 2 free drink tickets for Cambrinus bar, which was right next door.

When your in Brugge looking for the real deal, this is the place!
