A - Pours a pale straw colour with a slight orange tinge. One fingered head that dissipates quickly leaving a thin film.

S - Ctrus notes including lemon, orange and I also get a hint of apricot.

T - A little citrus hops throughout, although a little grainy. Some lemon, apricots and some sweet candy.

M - Light bodied with medium carbonation. Although a little watery

O - Not bad and fairly refreshing. Would go down ok a hot summers day.

From BWS. No BB.

Pours a clear golden straw. One finger head fades to a film.

Aromas of very little. Grains and malts. Little else.

Taste is metallic from the get go, and watery. Little hop presence all in all, but what is there seems PoR ish.

Mouthfeel watery but carbonation ok. Harsh.

This is Bad Beer for the big market. The worry is from my perspective that punters will think they are buying 'good' beer but will then wonder why they splashed out on it. And then go back to macro.

Pours a light golden color with a thin layer of chunky white head. Smells of yeasty water. Tastes like yeasty water with some terrible hop flavor (pride of ringwood maybe?) and not much bitterness to balance out the lack of sweetness. The mouthfeel is very thin and watery without much carbonation. Overall, it's a terrible beer. It has very little flavor, and what flavor it does have is bad. Glad I didn't pay full price for it.

Bottle: standard brown 345mL bottle, quite an unimpressive label for Matilda Bay.

Appearance: standard pale ale copper hues with a 2-finger white head that drops after a minute to a nice film.

Aroma: definite notes of citrus and grass hops with subtle, sweet malts.

Taste: hops are the main flavour bearers in this ale, with those light biscuit malts backing up. Some passionfruit as well.

Aftertaste: the hops linger and become somewhat bitter, but does dissipate reasonably quickly. Lucky it's refreshing and sessional.

Mouth feel: not quite enough carbonation to carry the flavour through. I think this would be better off as a standard lager rather than trying to create what feels like a lager / golden ale hybrid.

Overall: an interesting lager - different from your standard fare. Not sure it is worth the price though - a bit more carbonation would bring out the beer's good points a bit more.

A new addition to the family and pours a clear golden hue with a fluffy two finger head and some lacing, the smell is light citrus,a touch of passionfruit, pale malts, freshly cut grass and some honey, the mouthfeel is light bodied and over carbonated very spritzy indeed and the tastes are pretty simple really with hints of passionfruit, pale malts, grassy noble hops, peach and finished with a light citrus dryness and overall i didnt expect much from this and i was right just made to persuade the macro market into something with a touch more taste than what they are used to cheers.
