Wandered in here on a rainy June day just because all of the biergartens were closed and you don't see all that many Hacker-Pschorr sponsored places around town.
It's tough to miss the Donisl since it's right in the middle of the Marienplatz. They typically have an outdoor area with lots of umbrella tables, but they had all been moved inside for the weather.
The inside of the place is massive. It's not quite as big as the Augustiner Grossgastatte of Hofbrauhaus, but it's larger than almost all of the others. Everything is done in old wood and they have the size of the place under control by separating everything into smaller rooms, too. For a place in a tourist mecca, service was prompt. Beer orders and food orders were immediate and getting the check was no problem at all. Perhaps that might be because they get a lot of foreign visitors who aren't used to the norms?
The menu has all of the typical Bavarian favorites (pork knuckles, schnitzel, saurbraten, etc.) and a lot of dessert options. We just grabbed some desserts, both of which were tasty and not too pricy. Normal menu items were a hair steep, but not horrible.
They had pretty much all of the major H-P beers are available including their Pils on tap (pretty unusual), the dunkel, hell, both weissbiers, etc. H-P has a large selection, so that's a definite bonus.
Quick service and a good set of options for beers make this a good stop for a rainy day or even just a good chance to get some rarer than they should be Hacker-Pschorr beers.
EDIT: It looks like Donisl is now closed. The city is doing major maintenance on the building and the entrance area is gone. Per their website, the construction will last until at least 2015, so Donisl probably is no more.

Very, very easy to find, smack in the centre of the tourist area and city shops.
Right on the corner of Marienplatz, with a large seating, outside drinking area, it is ideal for watching other tourists looking at the Rathouse and the sights around.
Inside it is all light coloured wood and a huge staircase up to the toilets, very posh and airy all round.
Busy outside at all times, inside it is a quiet haven for shoppers and people eating (although you can eat outside too). The food looked good, normal heavy Bavarian fare, loads of meat.
My draught Salvator was super, other Hacker-Pschorr beers are also available on tap, as well as some bottled beers.
The service was fine, a grumpy old lady served me this year, but she got what I ordered and didn't mess us about, so that's good in my books.
