Thanks to Kamal for the gift bottle.
A - Flat oil slick. Obsidian really. Hardly any head - almost still.
S - Roasted coffee, sweet and dark chocolate.
T - Burnt, chocolate volcano cake. Bitter chocolate and coffee.
M - Tight carbonation, yet soft, smooth, even slick, mouthfeel.
D - Easy going down. Fantastic roasty flavors. Wonder how this would taste on nitro....

Glass: Duvel Tulip.
Appearance: Pours like a dark motor oil. A somewhat aggressive pour produced barely a half finger of brown head, which quickly dissipated. No lacing.
Smell: Roasted semi-dark chocolate, a bit of coffee, bread, the slightest bit of caramel. That lactose / cream / metallic scent is always present in the background. This smells very good!
Taste: Chocolate initially for a brief portion of a second, transitioning to metallic lactose bitterness, changing again to mellow creamy goodness. The aftertaste is back again to roasted malts and chocolate.
Mouthfeel: Medium body with medium carbonation. A tiny bit of syrupy sweetness is left on the tongue and lips. Wet finish.
Overall: My favorite milk stout to date. A really excellent, smooth, chocolate taste combined with the sweetness and slight metallic puckering of the lactose. I was surprised that I liked this one so much ... would definitely drink it again!

Poured into a sam adams custom glass, color is deep black, head is dark tan and thin but clings some to the glass in a ring.
Smell is a wonderful blend of chocolate, espresso, roasted malts hints of bitterness and a light lingering sweetness.
Taste is again a great blend of roasted malt, chocolate and espresso flavors, some light bitterness and a lingering, somewhat thick sweetness.
Mouthfeel, as indicated by the taste is a lingering sweetness throughout, but not cloying, enough bitterness to back this somewhat dense stout.
Overall, a very solid sweet/milk stout, great mix of chocolate, espresso and roast to create a wonderful tasting and smelling brew.

This beer is so dark, it blocks out the sun. I held it up to the sun after pouring and couldn't see any light. The head is even dark brown, fantastic achievement. This beer is like a black hole, sucking the light out of everything, and only allowing a peek at it's existence.
The smell is pleasantly present. Imagine filling a leather shoe with something like tea leaves, then putting it in a hickory box, and burying it in a mound of really rich and dark dirt in the middle of a sun-beaten field....for a few months to bake all the fragrance in. Come back after a while, dig up and open the box, and sniff.
Flavor is full of earth and roasted malt. Put that tea filled shoe I was talking about into a kettle with all the regular ingredients you would expect to find and add hot water. Let that mixture ferment for a bit, pour a glass and drink.
This is where the tannin makes a slight appearance, you can feel its mild character. A creaminess is present, but challenged by a tingle that doesn't let your mouth get too relaxed while enjoying it.

Dark Horse Too Cream Stout:
Now THIS is what I expect when a stout is served!
Blindfolded - you would never guess another style. Thick and creamy mouthfeel, with a strong espresso edge. Blindfold off, you find exactly what you are tasting - am opaque black serving topped with a mocha foam head.
Strong enough to stand up to a pairing with a maduro cigar or an Austrian-Hungarian game stew.
A = Beautifully black, absolutely opaque with the dense, forbidden blackness of a black hole from which not even light escapes.
S = espresso charges up the nostrils
T = deeply espresso with a bourbon edge
M = Thick and creamy - thoughts turn to adding this to my bathwater...
O = This is EASILY in my top five Stouts.
Beautiful job Dark Horse!

12 oz.
Pours jet black, thin nut brown film for a head dissipates to nothing.
Smells of oak, smoke, bourbon, caramel, cocoa and coffee.
Rich flavor of bourbon, cocoa, burnt oak, vanilla bean and coffee with a notable hint of cream.
Medium to full, creamy body with a light tingle of carbonation on the tip of the tongue.
Above average stout, good flavor and body at a not-too-high abv, definitely worth having. Hadn't had a good stout in a while, this hit the spot.
