Picked up this beer on a random purchase during a trading haul.
Pours a nice black with medium head. About 1 1/2 fingers of coffee brown head. Pours nice enough that the girlfriend was like "What is that Oil".
Smells of lots of... Yep blueberries. I love the smell of this beer it is very different and exceptional.
Taste is not as great though. I was expecting more blueberry. It came out tasting like a weaker version of Plead the 5th.
Mouthfeel is good and sticks good but I feel like I am waiting for the beer to do something new as I think about the palette.
Drinkability is moderate as I can't see a lot of faults with this beer but also no stand out characteristics other then smell.

This beer has a heavier viscosity than I expect, extremely thick and very much black with medium brown edges. The brown head almost reaches one finger and has a spritzy sort of look. It stays for a little bit before it fades, and it doesn't have a whole lot of stick to it, leaving some spotty lacing in moderation.
As with the entire lineup, roast is the main component, but in the aroma the blueberrry comes out nicely. There's a little wood as well.
Roast is heavy, along with an element of charred wood. There's also a hint of bittersweet cocoa. All of this is over the blueberry, and the one thing about a beer like this is that I want it to come out strongly and be a forward aspect. Blueberry can certainly be tasted, but I want to taste more of it.
The body is thick and rich. There's a good carbonation that isn't too high but gives it some creaminess, along with just enough crispness to make for an even feel that doesn't bite too much for a stout.

Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a pint glass.
Appearance: A moderately fast pour creates a huge medium-brown head -- like a bubby Imperial stout. The head settles pretty quickly back down. The body is oily black and impenetrable to light. I'm a veteran stout drinker and even I was a little intimidated. Maybe too much intimidation for a flavored stout.
Smell: The blueberry is there, trailing behind the main malt aroma. The scent is bittersweet sugary malt and maybe a little boozy. The alcohol gives it a slight odor of disinfectant.
Taste: The flavor profile on the first quick sip is that of a very DARK stout. Very roasty, even a little ashy. When I hold it a bit longer, I do get some faint blueberry -- pleasant and not overwhelming -- but the body of the flavor is missing. There's black barley base and a drop of blueberry and nothing to fill it out. I'm really trying to get some malt profile but there's almost none. Disappointingly plain. No hops, either.
Mouthfeel: The body is fairly thick and leaves an ashy dryness in the back of the mouth. Carb is light-to-moderate.
Overall: Maybe I just got a bad one, but there was almost no flavor in this beer. It was just ash tray and some blueberry. With a rounder malt profile this would have been a far better experience.

I love me a dark beer, and I think we can all agree that it’s hard to find a stout or porter with a particular fruit in its name. This beer covered all the main components of a spectacular stout and one up’d it by adding a perfect amount of blueberry to it. Smells of blueberries. Pours completely black. Tastes of chocolate, coffee and blueberries. Has a fairly pleasant mouth feel. Overall this beer was all that I wanted and was expecting... There are countless amounts of fruit wheat beers, but how many fruit stouts do you have? This beer could replace coffee and pie for dessert.

A: Dark brown to black with nothing showing through when held up to light. Thick, creamy, brown head is full at pour and lingers on the top nicely.
S: Malts, chocolate, sweetness. Really heavy malt as expected.
T: Great twist with the blueberry flavor - slight sour at the very front, then quickly to semi sweet dark chocolate flavor laced with blueberry. Nicely balanced and a lot going on.
M: Thick, really thick but nice and hearty.
O: Enjoyable and great spin on an imperial stout.
