Pours a dark amber. Little to no transparency, with a thick fast rising head that is tanish in color. Looks like plenty of sediment on the bottom of the bottle yet is easy to pull up. It dumps in dark and hard to see among the cloudy nature of the brew.

Smell is hoppy like a good American IPA should smell.

The taste, however, took me back. Creamy with toffee and caramel coffee malt flavor. Much like a toned down Dragon's Milk. The hop is still there as an undertow in a subtle way like pollen covering the tongue. Reminds me of the sent of a Michigan mid-summer's wild field cooling down after dusk.

Feels good and bitter. Very drinkable.
