Stone's Smoked Porter pours a filtered clear black body with ruby highlights and an off white head that leaves good lacing.
The aroma is smoked and charred malt, chocolate, and not really any hop presence.
The flavor is roasty and slightly sweet, some acidic character from the roast, smokey. Hop presence is minimal to light for a Stone brew, but that isn't a completely bad thing.
Mouthfeel is substantial but certainly not full. Carbonation seems just fine on the moderate side.
