On tap the the Most Arrogant Bash (Barleys in Greenville SC).
Pour is a somewhat light amber with a very very durable head.
Smells suspiciously hoppy but ..
Heck yeah, this is really hoppy; could ruin ones taste buds for any beer that follow. The bitterness, however, is controlled by a judicious use of sweet malts. Still, of course, moderately bitter.
O: Stone has managed to take a very hopped beer and increase the hops component without making it harsh or more than slightly challenging.

Exceptional smooth DIPA enjoyed on tap at The Prohibition Pg. Yellow with a soapy head, a lacey sheet. Slightly hoppy aroma. Very tasty, a good high IBU. Smooth carbonation somewhat boozy finish the only drawback. A great take on this great beer.Masterful.

tasting notes from 2/22/12-on tap at Blind Tiger in NYC: pours a hazy orange color with a 1 finger white head that faded slowly and left great spotty lacing that clings to the glass.
Smells of big hops, floral hops, flowers, citrus hops, grapefruit, orange peel, lemon, herbs, pine cones/piney hops, daisy's, caramel and light roasted grains; wow, this reeks of the dry hops added in and is quite frankly wonderful to inhale.
Tastes of floral hops, flowers, citrus hops, grapefruit, orange peel, lemon, herbs, pine cones/piney hops, faint caramel, grains, pepper, coriander, cinnamon, mild spices and other floral and earthy flavors; extremely tasty, this beer is full of hops and pushes the limit in a good way.
Mouthfeel is creamy and silky smooth, with mild carbonation, a medium to light body and a bitter finish that is citrusy and leaves a soft pucker.
This is an IPA lovers dream and a high recommendation; I loved this beer, it was amazingly fresh tasting, fruity and pungent, and I'm very glad I had it as it was a lot of fun to drink.

tasting pizza plant 2012
Clear golden with a thin white head. Big notes of citrusy hops that follow through to the beers taste. Very drinkable with a bitter grapefruit rind aftertaste. Intensely hoppy and definitely doesn't disappoint. Not sure about this beer's availability, but it's pretty tasty and definitely an improvement to ruination.

Served from tap into a shaker. Poured a golden yellow with a one finger off-white head that subsided to a minimal amount very slowly. Maintained excellent lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, pine, pine resin, citrus, citrus hop, and earth. The flavor was of sweet malt, citrus, pine resin, pine hop, citrus, earth, earth hop, and citrus hop. It had a medium feel on the palate with medium-high carbonation. Overall this was a good brew. I really like the complexity aspect that the dry hopping added to this already solid brew. It really felt like this one opened up some compared to its normal offering. This one was just a little more balanced with sweetness rather than just being a pure palate wrecker. Definitely worth trying if you get the opportunity to do so.

A treat to get to enjoy several of these at the Blind Tiger in NYC as part of their Stone Brewing event last month.
(Reviewed from notes)
Pours orange infused amber, with an off white head and respectable strands of lacing left on the glass..
Lovely tropical fruit nose, melon, pineapple and lucious hoppy goodness.
A blast of more pineapple, grapefruit notes, crunching hops coming in on the finish. Super tasty and enjoyable DIPA, fruit/hoppy/yummy. Ruination with a bit softer, and fruitier twist. Fine Brew from one of the heavy hitters/pioneers of the style.
Dont miss giving this one a try if the oppoutunity is presented.

Growler to Stone Pint
Growler from WinterStorm
App- Huge deep oranges and vibrant yellows intermixed with striking three finger head. Huge static cling that just fell like a snail.
Smell- Huge hops, very hop forward and strong citrus more tropical fruits. Smelled more inviting than the base version.
Taste- The base version was just a palate wrecker. This was not. It was hoppy, malty and super fruit forward. However, felt like something was just missing. Still good but not over the top as I would've hoped. A good bit of tangerine flavors.
Mouth- Medium bodied with a medium carbonation and a dry hop finish. Nice residual tropical fruits and a bit juicy.
Drink- I'll have this again if I see, just hope its not the end of the keg as my growler is. Just too good not to. A very good DIPA and the spicy, bold, dry hops are just nicely tamed against the tounge overload that was the base with the tropical notes and its worth it.
