A: Pours a cloudy medium brown in color with some hints of amber when held up to the light. The beer has a finger tall creamy tan head that slowly reduces to a thick layer covering the entire surface of the beer with a thicker ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Light aromas of toasted and caramel malts initially with some hints of brown sugar/molasses. But the aroma of this beer is dominated by the hops - some tropical (pineapple and mango), citrus (orange), and just a hint of pine. You can smell some of the Stone contribution in the nose of this beer.
T: The beer tastes similar to it smells, there is a strong caramel and toasted malt body with some additional sweetness contributed by the brown sugar/molasses. Then there is the intense hoppy flavors and some moderate bitterness - the orange/citrus is most dominant with some support from the pineapple/tropical and pine.
M: Medium bodied with moderate to heavy amounts of carbonation. Crisp and clean.
O: Overall this is quite an enjoyable beer and was easy to drink. I am not a huge fan of Stone beers but I really enjoyed this collaboration (the third Stone collaboration I liked better than anything the do on their own).
