A-dark dark brown ale. Looks slightly lighter than a meager porter. The creme colored head sits on this thing for ages! Tons of spider web lacing too. Little residual hop pieces. This looks unfiltered.

S-pineapple and coffee. Perhaps a little grass and pine. This smells great. Subtle roastiness and lots of fruity hops. Wow.

T-the flavor on this beer is exceptional. Starts with creamy milk and sugar coffee. This leaves quick and makes way for grapefruit and piney hops. Slightly smoky with a little booze in the finish. This is great. Hoppy with subtle roast and biscuit. Decent amount of bitterness.

M- prickly with a medium body and little carbonation. Oily mouthfeel. Not bad.

O- this beer is great. I know its not a "black" ipa, but I consider this the quintessential american dark ale. Similar flavors to sublimely self rightous but a little more drinkable and it has more of a citrusy hop flavor as opposed to piney. Very good beer.
