Pours a deep mahogany color with a tight, off-white head that leaves moderately sized chunks of lacing.

Smells of the roasted malts with a piny bite.

Tastes of lush malts layered with an appropriate amount of hops. Malts lead off with coffee and chocolate along with some brown sugar that gives a mild sweetness. This then leads to piny, earthy, and slightly citric hops that give a nice bitter counter.

Mouthfeel is medium with a smooth amount of carbonation.

Overall, this is quite nice, however I feel like this could be better with a different hop bill that would either be more spicy or fruity.
