Black, with nearly no light passing through. Some lace and head, but not much. Noticeable big particulates. Oily, resinous, catty. Smells like an IPA. Nice big body, soft mouthfeel. Licorice, mint, and molasses flavors. Neither sweet nor dry, well balanced. Short lived, but powerful bitter finish. Some acidity on the finish.
