Pours a lustrous, hazed honey color with a thick, creamy head and solid lacing. Basically smells like a quality IPA...very hoppy with slightly tart fruits and a hint of spicy alcohol. Some dry, bready malts. Flavor is a big wave of floral hops - a little spicy with a smooth bitterness. Pleasantly sweet. Juicy, lively flavor yet, a little dry - smooth and medium-full bodied.
This is pretty much a double IPA...at least the bottle I got. Very well-rounded overall, but there's a lot of delicious hop flavor. Try it while you can...six or so months after its release seems to be the right time to be drinking this.
