A triple-hopping to produce a clean, crisp IPA with a medium body and a creamy head.

Love this Ipa. Nose hints at a light lager, however the bitterness. I think this is a great beer that hasn’t received a lot of high reviews, but this is great!

12 oz bottle served in a lager glass. Purchased 2 days previously in Columbus, Ohio so it should be fresh.
Pours with a clear amber body, despite some sediment that settles to the bottom of the glass, and a fine white head.
Citrus dominates the aroma while oranges and grapefruit characterize the flavor.
Overall: too much bitter grapefruit peel after a bit of warming.

Poured cold from 12-ounce bottle into a shaker pint glass. Nice appearance. Clear amber color, with a thick white head that left some legs as it settled. The aromas and flavors come through much better as the beer warms. Solid malt backbone, with bread, light caramel, and a little sweetness underlying notes of grapefruit, citrus zest, and pine resin. Pleasantly bitter finish, a little dry and not cloying at all. This made a pretty decent pairing with inferno wings and fries at Massey's Pizza in Grove City, Ohio. As always, YMMV. :)

Elevator Three Frogs IPA brewed by Elevator Brewery & Draught Haus, with an ABV of 8.00% This American IPA pours out a deep golden amber color with a nice white head. There is also a nice amount of lacing to this brew, it sticks to the side of the glass well. The smell is rich with hop bitterness, earthy grains and malts. There is a lot going on in this brew so far, not for the taste. It is Bold with hop bitterness at first. Then you pick up on the smooth earthy grains and malts. The body of Elevator Three Frogs IPA is a medium to heavy, but not to heavy. This is a nice drinking brew with a bite. If you are not into hops this is not a brew for you, however if you are look this one up. It is really hard to pick up on the 8.00% ABV in this brew, it is just that smooth. There is nothing overpowering about this brew, it has a real nice Hoppy bitterness, but it has a nice balance to it. The month feel of Elevator Three Frogs IPA is Bold, Hoppy, Clean, Smooth and Refreshing. Overall I'm going to give Elevator Three Frogs IPA a 4.50 out of 5. I would definitely look this brew up again giving the opportunity to. Elevator Brewery & Draught Haus did a super nice job with this American IPA.

Bottle with no date visible. CBF Tulip pint.
A: pours a fairly dark copper orange with 1/2 finger barely off-white head that retains pretty well. Tiny particles of sediment, and a few lazy bubbles flowing up. The lacing coming off this glass is out of control. Prettiest beer I've had in a while.
S: Sweet citrusy malt. This smells remarkably like Samuel Smith's IPA.
T: similar on the palate, Sweet, citrus, malt, with a pleasant and balanced light bitterness on the finish. This is actually better than Sam Smith's IPA. Taste really follows smell on this one. Very much an English style IPA.
M: medium bodied, perhaps a shade on the lighter side of the medium bodied spectrum. Slight slickness and lower carbonation for the style, but well within the acceptable range.
O: I am a malt-head, so I really love this beer. It is not what you typically think of these days as an IPA, with only 45 IBUs. It is more akin to a classic American pale or English IPA. On that front, this is way better than the brewery's Bear-Ass Pale. Ten years ago this was one of only two local breweries whose beer you could buy in bottles. I applaud them for their longevity. This may be my favorite offering from them. Worth buying a six pack for offering to guests just getting into craft.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 1/9/2017. Pours moderately hazy/cloudy golden orange/amber color with a 2 finger dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice thick soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, light pepper, pine, light caramel, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/earthy/pine hops and moderate bready malt notes; with good strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, light pepper, pine, light caramel, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine/citrus rind/grassy/spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, lemon/orange peel, citrus rind, pepper, pine, light caramel, toasted bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/earthy/pine hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance. Slight lingering hop astringency near the end of the glass, but not overwhelming. Moderate dryness from lingering bitterness and carbonation, increasing through the glass. Medium-high carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, crisp, moderately sticky/resinous/rindy, and fairly creamy/bready/grainy balanced mouthfeel that is good. Zero warming alcohol for 6.9%. Overall this is a nice IPA. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/earthy/pine hops and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and easy to drink; despite the bitter/drying finish and higher carbonation. Good hop vibrancy and nice solid malt backing, with minimal residual sweetness. A nicely enjoyable offering.
