Found out about this place looking at Tyranena's website for a location where i could buy Bitter Woman from Hell within a reasonable driving distance from my in laws in Hayward. Didnt really know what to expect when i went there, but was pleasantly surprised to see a sign advertising over 200 different beers.
Once i entered the store i was greeted by a friendly lady who was working the store. When i told her i was interested in beer she directed me to their wall of beer, and told me that what i could find there was available in their cooler. Easily the best selection ive yet to see in NW Wisconsin. The WI breweries were very well represented, especially the local brewery Viking. They must have had at least ten of their offerings in the cooler (she took me in to look at them). And other breweries whose beer i hadnt seen before in NW WI were also represented, including Ommegang, Founders, FFF, Victory, Flying Dog. There was also a good selection of Ayinger. Probably one or two more as well.
The clerk was only too happy to get my order together, and boxed it up for me. Another pleasant surprise was when she offered and followed through on helping me carry my beer to the car. She also gave me a sucker to give the little one who waited patiently in the car with my wife. Great small town service from a store with an excellent variety of beers.

This is a true little diamond in the rough. New Glarus, Bells, Oskar Blues, Southern Tier, Central Waters, Tyranena, Founders, Imports and much more. Also a nice home brewers section. A great selection and very decent value. The owners are very helpful and really know their beer. For such a small store in a small town in the sticks it is amazing. I have never walked out empty handed. On more than one occasion I have had to ask the owner "where in the hell did you find this beer"??? Anybody traveling up to the Northwoods will not regret stopping in for a visit.

Stopped in here on a vacation up north. I was stopping around at all the liquor stores in the area to see if I could find anything interesting. This place was by far the best I found.
When you walk in the front there is a nice little wine selection directly in front of you and the counter directly to your right. There was a genuinly friendly woman at the counter and a man messing with the coffee equipment. (There were a lot of different specialty coffee here as well.) Both were extremely friendly and talkative. They also told me they can order just about any of the beers I wanted. They were always eager to help but left me alone while I was looking around. It is a small place.
In the back there was a couple small coolers of Bud and Miller products but that was it. Next to that was a couple shelves of homebrew equipment. I was told it was the only place around Rice Lake that carried this stuff so she did a lot of ordering for people in the area.
As for the beer. I was very surprised when I saw the selection on the wall. There was The wisconsin staples like Capital, Tyranena, Lakefront, and New Glarus. They even had New Glarus Unplugged and Tyranena Brewers Gone Wild series. Belgian styles included 4-packs of 4 or 5 Unibroues as well as 4 of Ommegangs offerings. A lot of good craft brew as well. Victory, Founder's, Three Floyds, and Flying Dog. There were others but they've slipped my mind. German imports as well: Ayinger and Paulaner. I was told they had all these cold if I wanted.
For where this place was and considering the other stores I stopped at in the surrounding areas this place is a gem. Be careful when you're in the area cause it is small. So look good and stop by.
