I went to the ABC after Mighigan's beatdown of uconn. I figured I'd get a growler refill. The place was busy, as would be expected after a game. I went to the back bar and had an ipa and an Irish stout. The front bar is copper, while the back bar is wood. I liked being surrounded by UM fans celebrating a victory.
There were no exceptional beers on tap, but it was a decent selection. I like the cask conditioned ipa served at 58 degrees. The bartender was very busy, so I did not have much of a chance to chat other than to place my order. It is a quality establishment that I have gone to on a couple of occasions. It is definitely worth a stop.

A forgettable experience... there was no atmosphere even though it was a nice Saturday night.
Their beer wasn't good but it wasn't horrible. The food was average and luckily so were the prices.
We won't be back here especially knowing there are world class pubs right around the corner.

Easily accessible, Bar is first thing you see when walking in. A nice seating area to the right. On the weekend the other room to the left is a great option to share some drinks with a group. Its been a few years since I have visited. They make quality beer and have always enjoyed my stay.

Prime location, right downtown Ann Arbor. The building is cool, lots of dark wood and brick. Service was pretty good, we sat at the bar and the the bartender was very polite and helpful. This is not the place to watch sports though, they had like a 20" TV behind the bar.
Food was decent, beer was good and the selection was good, the serve a couple of Cask Condition beers so that was a plus. Their beer makes it worth a visit but it's not the best pub/brewery in AA.Overall I'd visit again but its nothing fancy. It would make a good starting point for a AA pub crawl or tour.

When I visited: March 2012.
What I had: Sacred Cow IPA (cask), Tree Town Brown Ale (draught), New Holland Dragon’s Milk (bottle), Andouille & Salmon Étouffée, pinot grigio and pasta entree for the lady.
What I liked: Cool vibrant atmosphere in this busy college hangout, booths provide some privacy, fast no frills service, several seating options, solid food, decent prices.
What I disliked: House beers left much to be desired and bottle selection was smaller than I expected. Nice to find Dragon’s Milk though.
Would I go back? Possibly.

Arbor Brewing company is a staple of the Main Street downtown Ann Arbor area. I tend to go there less than other places in town, as the food isn't quite as good as elsewhere (like Jolly Pumpkin and Grizzly Peak).
The beer selection is excellent, though I would love to see more rotating taps. One beer I have not seen them bring back--and wish they would--was a specialty beer called Tree Town Brown. It was a dark brown IPA and one of the best beers I have had in town.
Overall, you should definitely stop by when in Ann Arbor, even for just one beer on your way to other brewpubs around.

I visited Ann Arbor once in the past and my only memory of it was a brew pub I visited. I wasn't sure what it was called, but when I stepped in here this evening, I realized that this was the place I visited. Funny how Arbor Brewing Company was my only fun memory of this nice college town. Probably because I was here for work that last time around! During this visit, I was fortunate enough to try a Michael Faricy's Stout and Scared Cow Cask Conditioned IPA. Good stuff!
What can I say about this place, other than its a micro brew fan's dream. They have a nice selection of micro brewed beers, everything from IPA's to stouts available. Arbor even has beer tasting sessions that give you the opportunity to try different types of beers at a cheap price. The celebration happens the second Thursday of every month. This month (i missed it by one week) is Micro madness, next up on September 8th is "Made in Michigan" and I should come back on November 10th for "Belgian" night. Besides that, there are kegs for sale, rows of taps and beer, exposed brick as soon as you walk in and a friendly staff. The location couldn't be better, as it's right in the middle of the city off of Main St.
Try the fish tacos, they're really good. The rest of the menu looked appetizing, but didn't really pair up with the large selection of beers. I would have liked to have seen a more eclectic blend of foods for the various beer styles they offer.
Overall, great place and located in a great college town. Please visit if you're in the area, it well worth it.

First stop of a Ann Arbor drinking run, and it would be my first place to return to if I got the chance. Tried eight samples and then got a draft of the sour brown Brasserie Greff. All were strong brews and the place at the bar was pleasant. Brewery in the back of the bar surrounded by the restaurant. Didn't have a chance to look at the food menu, but plenty of others were there having a meal. Service was attentive and positive--bartenders seemed to be real fans of the place, and were very knowledgeable.

This was our second to last stop on my Microbrewery tour and when my father and I went in there to get a sampler and some food the place was pretty large. They had a giant back room off the left of the bar.
The women behind the bar was very knowledgeable and explained a bit about the brewery to my father and I. I ordered the beer sampler as well as one of the soups that they had that day. The sampler was the largest one that I have had on the trip. Had at least 7 to 8 beers. Each was very good non of them disappointed me which is very good.
The soup was extremely good which when so good with the sampler that I had ordered. I also got a final pint and for the first time ever I ordered one of the beers that had a hand pump which I have never seen before which was really interesting to learn about.
Overall I really enjoyed the brewery! Cheers!

Nothing fancy about this brewery, but a nice casual place to have a good beer and good food. They try and source locally for the food menu which is your typical pub fare. The feel is your typical college bar. They have a decent variety of draft and 2 cask options. Check out the menu for several sour beers available only in bottles. The sour beers are above average. Average beer with above food quality. You have three other breweries within two blacks, so this place fits in nicely for a brew pub crawl.
