I hand trucked this beer all the way back from Ann Arbor, and what a disappointment it was...
Spit between a few friends all poured into tulips.
A: Murky reddish brown, light carbonation, no lacing or anything in the glass. This is cool, kind of reminded me of Abbaey de St. Bon-Chien.
S: Rotten green apples, acetic acid, rancid, Bactine antiseptic.
T: Very astringent, very bitter, spoiled.
M: Very dry, hyper attenuated, to be honest the smell and taste just dock-off points for everything else.
O: I think this beer was just too old. It could've been great a few years ago, who knows- maybe I just got a bad bottle. All I know is that Arbor Brewing is a great brewery, I liked most of what they had on tap, and also a bottle of this other beer that had had rocks on it (forgot the name) which was amazing. When I asked about the beer (which was really expensive) they said it was hard to drink, what I should have heard was that the beer is old and done. It's just a bummer.

750ml caged and corked bottle, shared with Dan and Robert.
A - Pours a flat, murky, copper with ZERO head.
S - Tart. Acidic vinegar takes the forefront, some green apple as well. Just smells sour.
T - Wow, where to start. Tart, acidic sourness. Vinegar mixed with sweet tarts and a touch of sour apple. Reminds me of La Folie, but more balanced and less bracingly sour. Oak, tobacco.
M - Tepid, medium body but zero carbonation at this point. Almost like a wine at this point.
O - Just a phenomenal beer. Not for the faint of heart or anyone adverse to sour, but highly recommended if you can get your hands on a bottle. Gets even more diverse at it warms.

Corked with an amazing mushroom looking cork. Pours a murky brown/copper color with some carbonation. Aroma completely dominated w/vinegar with some sour cherries, and green apples adding to the nose. First sip is not nearly full of vinegar that the nose suggests. Still plenty of vinegar but plenty of tart and sourness to chomp on. Red wine notes are also present and add to this amazing beer’s complexity. The sourness hits on the front, middle and back of the mouth. This is a beer for experienced sour lovers and should not be used to introduce one to this strange corner of our beer obsession. Well done.
