Very clean balanced profile. A perfect balance of flavor between dank, under ripe grapefruit and citrus. No particular hop profile stands out. Malt flavor provides a punch in the middle of the sip then fades out to hop sweetness. Well done.

Had this on tap at Elysian Fields before a Mariners game, unfortunately poured into a plastic pint cup (which they use at the tables prior to ballgames). The color was a hazy burnt orange with a thin off-white head. No lacing --- see plastic cup.
Smelled of peaches, grapefruit, and pine. I don't recall ever having a beer that smelled like peaches. I was afraid it was going to be too sweet, especially for a DIPA.
The taste of this beer was complex and incredible. Upfront, it was sweet malt and biscuit (with just the hint of peaches), followed up quickly by the hoppy grapefruit, lemon, pine, and grass. Soon thereafter, a dry bitterness kicks in. It finishes with a fairly strong alcohol taste that warmed up my insides. This was one of the best tasting beers I've ever had. Well done, Elysian.
I would love to be able to drink many of these, but that would not be possible. At 8.7% ABV, it was quite strong. One of these before a ballgame was just enough.

Sample at the Pike Street location. This beer pours a murky yellow color with a medium thin and foamy white head that dissipates slowly. Rings of lacing on the glass. Citrusy hops aroma with notes of malt and caramel. Medium-bodied and moderately bitter with floral hops and citrus flavors balanced by some bready malt and caramel. The finish is resiny hops with a lingering bitterness left over. Pretty good all around.

Appearance: hazy dark orange in color with a 1/2" head. Nice lacing paints the glass as it empties.
Smell: loads of grapefruit, pine, and caramel sweetness are easy to detect.
Taste: the flavor follows the nose as caramel, grapefruits, and pine come through strong along with some ripe apples and a hint of bitter green grapes. The bitterness is strong but kept in check. Alcohol is mildly warming.
Mouthfeel: lightly crisp at the start, smooth and a bit dry at the finish. Medium-heavy in body. Long aftertaste as the flavor seem to stick to the tongue forever.
Drinkability: for a IIPA it is very drinkable but more than two may numb your tastebuds. Very tasty beer - if it's on tap you should have one.
