A: Pours so dark brown that I almost think it's black. The head is a joke; very small, very airy and leaves almost no lacings.

S: Heavily roasted dark malts. Dark bitter chocolate and strong black coffee. Some dark dried fruits. A not too well hidden vanilla-tone in the back.

T: Molasses; sweet dark roasted malts; it's almost like dark syrup. Then there's dark dried fruits and chocolate together with coffee. A bit burnt, almost smoked. More complex than the smell. Some citric notes as well; oranges.

M: Aftertaste is short but holds a healthy dose of sweetness. Body is full and carbonation is mild.

O: An uneven brew; but the high ABV isn't well disguised. If the alcohol had been more suttle, this would have been a much better beer.

The beer is dark dark brown, a very small tan head, some lacing and good curtains.

Very much roasted malt in the smell, burnt bread, dark roasted coffee beans, dark dried fruits.

Starting very sweet, dark syrup, figs, raisins, marmalade, dark chocolate and bitter orange peel.

Little carbonation, sticky and oily, a heavy body, an almost coarse dry finish.

A very heavy brew, in many ways. Much body, much alcohol, much hops.
