The brew is clear deep amber, has off-white small head that leaves little lacing. Some curtains.
Grass, hay, fresh bread and dough.
Starts with brown hard bread, some fruity jam like tones (figs, pears). Then some grass and hay tones, almost dusty old fir sprouts.
Low carbonation, soft and slightly oily texture, a mild dry finish.
Much malt, good amount of hop, yet I lack something.

A: Pours deep brown with rues of red. A very small tan and airy "nothing-head". No lace.
S: Dark roasted sweet malts. Dark dried fruits; cherries and figs. Syrupy. Some burnt notes and some bitter hops.
T: Dry, vanilla. Hard roasted, kind of burnt and a little smoke to the malt. Dark dried fruits. Strong black coffee.
M: Aftertaste is rahter short, but holds a nice bitterness. Body is thin to medium, carbonation light.
O: A little above average, plus for the bitterness.

The colour is brown (35 EBC), the liquid clear. The two finger head is pale brown and compact. It sinks slowly leaving no lacing.
The smell is a combination of hay-ish bitterness and sweet roasted malt that reminds me of barley crisp-bread. Fresh and clean, not very complex.
The taste is malty with some crisp-bread notes, roasted notes of caramelized sugar and some toffee (none of the toffee sweetness, though). Dried flowers in the rather dry aftertaste, as well as some dark bread, fried meat and a hint of coffee.
The carbonation is mild to medium, the bubbles small. The liquid is quite dry.
A no-nonsense basic dark lager.
