A bit dark for an American Pale ale made in Sweden, huge craggy head that takes quite some time to subside, leaving a bit of lacing. Smell and taste mirror each other, there is a weird metallic twange and the hops are a bit off, probably some weird minerals as well. Tastes somewhat similar to crackers. Not particularly good or enjoyable and a bit over carbonated. I won't be after this again.

The very high and airy head is pale amber. It leaves lots of lacing. The colour is deep copper.

The smell is hoppy and dry with fresh minty bitter flavours. Some minerals and sweet yeasty flavours in the background.

The taste is first sweet with notes of French loaf. Then, mildly bitter flavours emerges adding lots of exotic fruits. The aftertaste is fruity and moderately bitter with notes of fresh bread and creamy sweet flavours and a hint of cheese in the finish.

The carbonation is mild, the bubbles small. The liquid is very smooth.

With sweetness that sometimes reminds more of an English bitter than American hoppy pale ale, I really like the drinkability of this one.

A clear coppertoned beer, an off-white firm and slowly settling head that leaves lots of lacing.

The smell is sweet, raisins, caramel and sherry, citric, grape-fruit and oranges, floral, pine and newly cut grass.

The taste is also staring sweet, syrup, caramel, bread crust, fresh sourness from grape-fruit, lemon and green apples and a lot of lovely bitter notes from the hops.

The carbonation is rather high, a good balanced body, finishing with a warm and long bitter dry feeling.

Well, I have a hard time to resist this kind of beer, and when it is well brewed - why should I?

Pours a quite clear golden liquid with a mdoerate white head that leaves lots of dry lacing.

Smell is mostly of hops, tropical fruits with a... round citrus feel to it. Some caramell comes through from the malt, I get the feeling that the hops are'nt really balanced with the malt here, lets taste!

Taste is a bit of a letdown, the new zeeland hops used in this brew (Riwaka and Pacifig Gem) dosn't really do it for me. There is a brief sensation of tropical fruits, but it is quidkly subdued by a very in-your-face bready maltiness that completely shuts down any itneresting stuff that's going on. Finishes with a light bitterness that feels... disconnected from the hops, it feels really weird to me.

Mouthfeel is okay, with a light carbonation that works well, a bit watery though.

I actually feel a bit let down by Sigtuna this easter, none of their 2 beers really hit the spot for me! :(
