500ml bottle. Lager glass. Enjoyed on may´12. Orangish gold in color. White froth creates a close, fairly well retention, head. Sweet malt aromas. Mildy malty flavor & dry palate. Bitter finish & gentle resiny aftertaste. Hints of citric zest. Real good Lager.

A clear dark straw colored beer, a warm white head that leaves some lacing and small curtains.
Smelling citric, lemon, line and grape-fruit juice.
Staring with some bread nuances, then quickly loads of grape-fruit, juice, peel and crushed seeds.
Medium low carbonation, very small bubbles, a coarse texture and dry finish.
Very citric, not a typical amber/red lager, hopped like an APA.

A: Pours a pale amber liquid. The uneven head is about one finger high and white with very large bubbles. Small lacings are left on the glass after the head has dissolved.
S: Lots of damp hay, spicy tones, flower, hops and something that reminds me of how a wet dog smells.
T: Surprisingly watery. Tones of hay, potatoes, flowers, som citrus and a hint of black pepper at the end.
M: The carbonation is light and the liquid feels rather smooth. There is something missing, but I can't pinpoint it.
O: I'm a big fan och Sigtuna's beers but this one was a disappointment. It is way to watery and I found smells that I didn't like.

The colour is pale amber (9 EBC), the compact two finger head is firm and off-white. Some lacing occurs.
The smell is quite mild. Some flowery hops, hints of hay, caramel and leather.
The taste is refreshing, it is not the heaviest nor the most complicated beer I have came across. Fine bitter grassy notes, lots of fresh flowers. Not much of sweetness or alcohol. The aftertaste is smooth with some tart citric notes and hints of leather. Hints of exotic fruits and a long lasting bitterness in the finish.
The carbonation is medium strong, the many medium sized bubbles tickles the tongue. The liquid is somewhat smooth.
A refreshing lager. The label suggest that it should be parired with homely cooking, pizza or barbeque. And why not?

Testing this beer well chilled, poured from a bottle into a tulip glass.
The beer i got is named "East river spring lager", but since it is exactly the same ABV and type of beer (described the same way on the bottles label), i guess the "spring" in the new name is just added since it's spring in Sweden... however, here comes my review.
A: The color is not amber which is what you could expect from reading the bottles label. In my eyes, the color is light yellow and very clear, a small foamy head is also created when poured into the glass. Lots of small bubbles under the foam when twirling the glass, just what i would expect from a lager (or a pilsner).
S: A very fresh hoppy smell, with some malty hints in the back giving you some sweet tones as well.
T: Just as the smell, a very fresh hoppy, and well balanced malty lager. The hoppy bitterness starts off in a somewhat fresh&fruity way, but soon evolving into a bitterness further back in your moth. The bitterness stays for a long time after zipping it which is very nice.
M: The crisp carbonation feel from a lager is there, combined with a well hopped bitterness that gives a nice mouthfeel drinking this beer.
O: A very nice, well balanced malty and hoppy lager, especially when considering the low ABV (5.2%).

A: Pale copper pour with a small off-white light head. Only faint lacings.
S: Loads of American hops, both bitter but even more floral. The grapefruits and pineapple are very strong and dominant. Some caramell malt in the back, way in the back. A buttery vibe that makes me think of English ales. Well hidden is some boiled vegetables.
T: Bitter hops, more bitter than in the smell. Malt is stronger than in the smell, dry. Lots of citrus, lemons and grapefruits. The pine is surprisingly moderate. Bready and buttery.
M: aftertaste lingers for some time with rich bitterness that turns à bit sweet in the end. Body is a bit light while carbonation is rich but smooth.
O: It feels like many other beers in tis style. Not very exciting.
