pitch black. Tiny head. Aroma is full of bourbon, dark chocolate and dried fruits. Taste: licorice, dark chocolate, roasted coffe, bourbon, vanilla, dried fruits, melasses. Great beer with age!

The colour is pitch black (120 EBC). Some deep brown bubbles on the top of the liquid build a thin ring.
The smell is smooth and sweet. Some bourbon flavours, hints of vanilla and oak chips. Alcohol and chocolate, figs and raisins.
The taste is dry and roasted with quiet a lot of warming alcohol. Roasted oak barrels, vanilla and black malt sourness. Some whiskey-flavoured candy. The body is rather light. Salty liquorice in the aftertaste as well as dark chocolate and a touch of espresso. Alcohol, roasted flavours and some bitterness in the finish.
The carbonation is light. The few large bubbles are fresh. The liquid is a bid dry and surprisingly light for the style and strength.
Not much body or thickness in this one. Interesting liquorice flavours though.
