Appearance is dark toffee, really thick oily head that sticks around.

Smells of a variety of nuts, sweet toffee and brown sugar, sweet candy. Definitely an English barleywine, no hops to be found.

Taste is lots of rich nuts, sweet candy toffee, brown sugar. Again, all malt and no hops. Love the nut treatment!

Body is full and creamy but carbonation is pretty thin. Booze is noticeable with a slight burn.

I had this on-tap during the anniversary celebration. Served in a tasting glass (I had more than one).

Appearance: The beer pours a dark mahogany color with not much head showing up at all.

Smell: Caramel and dark fruit with some bourbon and a ton of nuts. Quite sweet and dessert like. I'm also getting some vanilla.

Taste: This is a fantastic beer. The nut flavors combine with the carmel and vanilla from the bourbon barrel. Just like a wonderful dessert. There are some bitter undertones throughout, but the sweet flavors are the star. Lots of cashew flavor here.

Mouthfeel: The body is syrupy with tingly carbonation and a finish that is very dry.

Overall: This is a fantastic beer. The nuts and the other barleywine flavors go together perfectly. I'd have this any time.
