Overall pretty average place. You walk inside, and it's a bright, open room with all of the liquor sitting on display. The service was welcoming, but they never really made their way back to where I was and see how I was doing. The standard, "Friendly but unwilling" tone I get sometimes.
The selection was... well, it wasn't too bad. It had a variety of Unibroue, Rogue, Chimay, etc., but nothing out-of-the-ordinary. Most of the shelf space is dedicated to BMC products, which isn't all too surprising.
The price, however, was a bit more than I've come to expect for these brews. Mostly the mid-range prices seemed a bit jacked up, whereas the high-end stayed the same. It made selecting a brew a bit tougher as I had to be more wallet-concious.
Probably the look of the place is the best thing about it. Off the 101, it's got this classic-western appearance about it. Overall, it isn't a great beer store, and I could find most of these at a grocery store. When I'm in the area, I tend to treat it strictly as a back-up plan.

This liquor store right off the 101 between LA and Santa Barbara has a cool looking old western facade that helps to justify its name. There's a little cowboy statue out front to boot.
The inside of the place is pretty standard. The beer selection includes things like Firestone, Lost Coast, Sierra Nevada, Stone, Rogue, Chimay, Spaten, Erdinger, Wychwood, Czechvar, Samuel Smiths, Kirin Ichiban, Sapporo, Moosehead, Labatt, Carlsberg, Becks, Warsteiner, Fullers, with a heavy dose of Spanish/Mexican favorites like Dos Equis, Corona, Tecate, Tequiza, and Modelo.
There's also plenty of wine and the ol' BMC if you want it.
All in all, not an outstanding place in the least, but round these parts there isn't a lot to shout about.
